I don't really get it, but I'm not running the team. Hate to see him go, even if PFF thinks he sucks. As someone noted elsewhere, the team must really like AJ Green- and if he takes over that role and does well, then awesome and it works out. Just a bummer to see an Ohio guy go, especially after the team flicked their thumb at the chance to draft several Buckeyes at positions of need. Oh well.

I will fully admit I’m ridiculously high on AJ Green. I think he can be a pro bowl caliber player with some playing time.

That is ridiculously high alright. Last season, he did get some burn in coverage and PFF had him at a shade under league average. Emerson is the guy who is going to get consistent reps.

The way I look at it: I'll take that kind of depth filling in for injury every single time. Nothing wrong with Green being a special teams demon who can give you decent play when you need it.
