Isaiah Hartenstein: wowing people in Vegas

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Know that logo from my many visits to CNH in Burr Ridge.....

I'd say overproduced from what I was expecting.

I was expecting a complete dud so at least there’s something there. Still young. Biggest thing is will he be able to continue to improve the outside shot? Always a big weapon when your bigs can do that.

Here’s a question for ya Cavs fans..... only one game so far... but did you like what you saw from him more so than Zizic?

zizic never had that outside shot and hartenstein hustles more, rebounds more and slides his feet. hell yeah, better than zizic.

He looks a lot more mobile then Ante, that’s already a huge plus IMO

I could definitely see him as out first big off the bench with Allen starting. His jumper form kind of reminds me of Joe Ingles. I also like how much he looks for passes and uses the fake pass. Not just with his back to the basket, but further away from the rim too.

I agree with you two... seems to be a better fit for today's NBA than what Zizic was..

Looking forward to seeing him the rest of the season to get a real feel of if there's actually anything there worth while or not.

He's not really a shooter at all though, right? He air balled one pretty badly

That was the only three he’s made in three years.

Incorrect.

I'm not saying he's a 'shooter,' but his form seems to look fine to progress into being a capable shooter. To his credit he's really never been given an opportunity anywhere. This is his first real shot to play significant minutes and prove his worth/potential.

Granted, he might totally suck and fizzle out of the league eventually. That's a possibility...

But as of right now I see a 22 year old young big with some potential who's finally getting some opportunity to see if there's anything there.

We will get another peak at him tomorrow night to see if the staff will allow him to keep shooting from the outside or not.

Yeah I don't really expect or want him to shoot. I'd prefer he worked on his finishing

Okay that was his first 3 in 2 years! My bad......big mistake. I'm sure a lot don't understand but you just don't correct your shooting by working on it for a couple days. You're either a good shooter with good form or you're not. It's not easy to "just work on your shooting." It's not like turning on a switch. But there's tons of ways Isaiah can contribute without being a knockdown 3 point shooter.
