Isaiah Hartenstein: wowing people in Vegas

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I know the overreactions are a bit of a meme, but there's a solid chance the Cavs got their hands on another piece here.

I've said it before, but the Cavs are a bit of a paradox. I'd argue they have a lot of solid pieces, but are missing that star that ties it all together. Unfortunately, that's also the hardest piece to acquire.

This roster reminds me a lot of the Rockets before acquiring Harden.

This guy is a badass.

I used to want Poetl. He kind of put Jakob in jail.

That floater looks impossible to guard at his size like a skyhook. Not sure I want him taking it, but so far so good.

The passing is just amazing.

Finished much much better this game. Maybe he isn't Drummond there

Guy has a complete smokeshow for a lady too.

Hartenstein's game against the Spurs looked like a typical Drummond game for the Cavs this year but with a higher shooting percentage and without the turnovers.

Drummond: 29 minutes, 17.5 pts, 47.6%, 13.5 rebounds,1.6 steals, 1.2 blocks, 2.7 turnovers
Hartenstein: 27 minutes, 16.0 pst, 87.5%, 12.0 rebounds, 0 steals, 1.0 blocks, 0 turnovers

He is better than Zizic, Zizic seemed to turn it over more + was awful on defense. Hartenstein (off a terribly small sample size) seems to have better hands and more presence around the rim

Hartenstein will be a solid backup to allen

Yeah better feet and a more fluid athlete. He can stay with guys pretty well. Not as good as Allen, but above average for a 7 footer I would say.

Looks like he has his fouling under control, but he still uses his hands too much. Displayed some good rule of verticality.

The main positive with Zizic was his offensive moves. He was actually fairly decent at scoring and generally didn't try to overdo it. I suspect that's why he was well regarded with a number of people on the forum. He was just slow. The turnovers were a problem too but I can't remember if those were his doing or just the team being sloppy with the ball and he being the last one to touch it. Drummond notoriously had the Casspi Fingers.

I'm not sure if Hartenstein is going to keep having good games like this but I wasn't expecting JaVale to stay here for long. I was just glad he was here when he was.

So Far, I am pretty optimistic. He will likely start making more turnovers and finish poorly, but Hartenstein is awesome. He appears to be an NBA player. If he just cuts some of the youthful turnover stuff down, he can be that guy where arguments about win percentages when he starts may happen.

The playmaking stuff is very nice. It's just rare as a backup big. It looks legit to me.
