Traded: Javale McGee

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Ah, maybe.. But to who?

With the acquisition of Allen it was clear JaVale's minutes would suffer the most. Hopefully he will be professional about it all. His contract is very fair and he could be a solid back up on a good team.

Some teams that come to mind are ---- Portland, Magic, Bulls..

Top 5 teams that are giving up the most points in the paint are: Sacramento, Minnesota, OKC, Brooklyn, Houston

Only way it may happen is that it is a 3 way deal... Shamet going somewhere else, he has no place on yhe Cavs roster

Okay, but Shamet doesnt have a 1st round pick value. They tried trading him for that so they could keep Allen, and they couldn't.

NEts need to be taken to the woodshed in any trade talks that involve acquiring a big. They are desperate and they need to fleeced. McGee would solve their issues for now, and i'm not gifting that disgusting core such gift for something lesser than a 1st, and even then I might think about it.

Perhaps they are trying to get another team involved

I would trade Shamet for McGee. Shamet doesn’t fit the Nets, but he’s a career 40% shooter from 3, a solid defender, a good ball handler, a proven player on championship level teams, and still young. I don’t know what his salary is, but he’d be an immediate upgrade as the backup at the 1 or 2.

Cavs could also acquire Jeff Green instead for McGee, if people don't like Shamet.
Hell, we could probably get both Green and Shamet if the Nets are desperate enough for a big. (and they are)

I don’t see Green helping much once Love returns. And he’s really old. But if you can get a 2 for 1 and possibly flip Green to a contender who needs a veteran backup, then you’d take it.

I saw enough of Green as a Cav the first time around.
I really liked him as a backup. He shouldn’t have had to have been started in the playoffs. But he played really well for us. He lebron and Wade were a good trio on the fast break.
