Goodbye Larry Nance Jr.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Anytime he gets the ball and takes more than a couple of dribbles, he should find himself
back on the bench. His pounding the rock is a great way to create a trap around him that
results in a wild shot or turnover.

Twenty minutes per game is as much of him as fans should have to endure.

I truly believe he thinks he's LeBron.

He's a beast and needs to play 40mpg.
If he does that, he might not get to his next NBA contract and forced to retire... Body just not built to play big minutes... Tou can argue he is more fragile than Love...

He's been playing close to 40mpg after an MCL sprain. Not cool. This staff hates Zizic.

Maybe it's me, or maybe I'm going crazy, but...I don't think Nance is very good.

Certainly not to the degree Drew uses him, but...Nance is a miserable offensive player. He's worse than Love around the basket and his jumper stinks.

His touch around the basket is just bad. Where are the dunks anyway? When he was dunking it I was more into it. He should dunk, pass, or shoot the 3 which he has been pretty good at.

I've come to the conclusion that the front office or coaching staff are pushing the guys to work on their development finally. Nance is taking 3s and trying to work on his post game. This is the time for him to work on those things. I've also notice Clarkson is getting to specific spots when he takes 3s, he isn't just chucking them from any spot on the arc. Nwaba is putting more air on his 3s. Sexton is attacking to the rim alot more.

We really could go much worse than with Nance Jr. No, he's not a fraction of the player his father was, but I don't see him padding his stats (a la Ricky Davis). There's hope that he could be a part of the future Cavs (when they are ready to compete again).

Everyone is a fraction of the player his dad was, Jr happens to be 1/3 and I happen to be 1/100,000,000

But we all are a fraction, lol

You can see his arrogance.

Anyways, he was supposed to be athletic, butI almost can't rememebr his last lob attempt.

The arrogance in his interviews is pretty annoying.

As far as lobs attempts, we know it's something he can do well. It's really something he isn't going to lose if he tries to develop other areas of his game. 3 pointers and being able to post up will make him the perfect switchable player to pair with Love. They both will have inside and outside game while being able to rebound at a high level. Nance's high flying ability just becomes icing on the cake if he rounds out his game more.

yeah I agree with that. I am ok with it. I just think Nance is a little more he is who he is, and he should probably only be looking to improve shooting the 3 and his passing game from very specific areas. He's 26 already. I admire him working on his game and old players can improve, but going from a limited athletic big to a do everything guy is more than he can handle IMO.

Nwaba could develop a more consistent shot that is realistic.

Sexton appears to have really upped his 3 pt attempts that is very good. He is going into contact too which is great.

Cedi has really improved finishing and is keeping his 3 pt attempts to mostly catch and shoot.

We have seen good things especially in the last month in terms of development. Maybe pumping up trade prospects has ended for the year.
