I like Larry Nance Jr. I even like his halfcourt point forward game sometimes!

That is all.

I fastforward when him and Clarkson share the floor together. I also fast forward when we have the bench lineup on the floor tbh.

In all honesty, fuck him and Clarkson. They both ignored Sexton last night and it make me so angry when he pushes the ball on the break when he has SExton on the wings. Then he does his stupid fake hand-offs and that shit where he holds the ball and fakes a pass just to stagnate the offense. WTF.

He's not a great shot blocker, he's not really a 5, he's not really a shooter and he's definitely not a point forward.

He...kind of just exists at this point.

I used to like and enjoy watching this guy as a gritty energy guy off the bench... But his JC buddy ball, Iam a point forward shtick and douchy trying hard tough guy leadership style without the game to back it up.... He has become aggravating to watch, the Cavs might have made a mistake extending his contract....

I'm questioning if he is salvageable as a player at this point. He has developed too many bad habits. He is becoming alot like Hood. We just have to hope someone else will want him at this point.

Pretty much single handedly turned a blowout into a fun game, and every single post in his thread is negative as usual. He wasn't perfect either, but I mean...come on.

Surely if the coaches don't want him doing this point forward stuff they will tell him to stop or not play him if he doesn't listen -- after all he is not Lebron who can dictate to the coaches.

My guess is the coaching staff is trying to develop Nance's skills since the year is lost anyway. Either that or they just don't care since they know they will be gone next year.

I don't mind if Nance or any other big pushes the ball after a rebound but only if there is no place to outlet the ball to move it up-court more quickly. I appreciate that Nance has obviously worked on and improved his outside shot.

What probably bothers me the most about Nance is his rather pathetic low post game. He sucks at short range jumpers and hook shots. For all his jumping ability he doesn't control the ball worth a shit around the rim, he looses control more often than not. And he apparently has no idea how to use the glass or "the square" as AC says. His tip-ins seem to only have a random chance of going in unless he's right at the rim. If he was proficient at any kind of low post moves and shots, I'd have a lot more respect for him. But when he gets the ball down low I pretty much chalk it up as an empty possession because he seems to miss from close range more than he hits. IDK what kind of player he's trying to be. Some kind of hybrid playmaking perimeter big man who has marginal skills in all the ways that really count?

The guy needs to figure out his role and how he can contribute to a playoff level team, and he's nowhere close, he just seems lost as a player. He should study some films of his dad, that guy knew how to fit into a rotation. Junior needs to work on becoming a knock-down shot maker from the free throw line on in the way Larry Sr. was, work on boxing out and rebounding, defensive help, and communicating on defense. Then add the outside shot threat on top of those things. If he does those basic things maybe he can consider himself as some kind of a leader.

So...what people thought he was before convincing themselves he had an untapped reservoir of skills when he signed a market value extension?

Now that we’ve seen a trophy we should stop perpetuating the “for SOME reason it’ll be different when he comes here” delusion that comes with every young-ish player joining the team.

Nothing against Wyoming, but there's a reason someone of his pedigree ended up with playing there being his best option.
