I was pushing for Markakken before but I don't know about this. Who is providing the 1st round pick to Chicago?

Somewhat sought after guy. Can shoot. They need shooting. Not sure how he fits but Nance was on his way out for whatever reason.

Not a fan of Lauri, never have been. Solid return for an oft-injured Nance, but I feel we could have squeezed more value towards the deadline. Roll of the dice as an injury could occur, which is why I believe this deal got done now.

I actually like this deal from the standpoint that Markkanen is a good offensive player and fits our timeline better than Nance being just 24 years old.

Kind of a weird fit given our roster, though. Markkanen, Mobley and Allen are all starters in this league. But I'm not sure how you start them together.

Yeah, I just like the timeline aspects. Get several years younger up front and add shooting.

I don't think Lauri is a game changing player......but he has a pretty unique skillset for his size, is young and can play with our other two bigs.

The other aspect I like is the front office FINALLY signaling to Love it is over. :chuckle:

I love this move. Don’t like the cost though. I always wanted to steal Lauri away from the Bulls, but that was before Mobley. We got a nice Bigs rotation.

Jarrett Allen, Mobley and Lauri.

I really have no idea what Koby is doing or the identity of this team. But I do like this move. Hopefully it’s more to come.

I don't get the trade. While having shootings bigs are always nice, it does not look like he can move over and play the 3. I don't get spending $16M+ a year on a 3rd big who will not start. While he is a good fit with our other bigs, we are paying him starter money.
