Allegations can sometimes be exaggerated, but Rondo does have a history of temper issues, so sadly I wouldn't be too surprised if any of this indeed happened. I never thought he had the self-control to be a good coach no matter his knowledge of the game.

I think any NBA team would be crazy to given him a chance at this point with our current social climate. That's what I said about Watson as well, but here we are.

Oh he’ll be a coach… He will be doing that Sam Cassell kinda thing real soon… Probably in Boston or wherever Doc goes… Which Doc keeps wrongfully getting jobs every year so Rondo will not be outta work…

Personally I think anyone in a supervisory position has to be held to a higher standard, and the higher the position, the higher the standard. An asshole player is one thing, but an asshole coach or GM (or owner) - quite another. It’s also why a jackass might be ok as a position coach or possibly a coordinator, but not a head coach.

Of course a similar point could be made that a QB is more visible than any other position in the NFL. Watson was and is in demand because he’s a very good QB. If he wasn’t, nobody would put up with this right now.

If he was 27 year old Rondo there would be no question he’d have teams courting him at midnight the moment free agency opened. If not before.

But old man Rondo is probably going to have a lot less luck in that department depending on the actual voracity of the allegations which I’m sure any potential suitor as well as the NBA itself will investigate thoroughly.
