He Gave Us Something to Tacko Bout

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Water is wet.
Sky is blue.

What is your point?

It takes 2 to sign a contract. Hartenstein opted out of a deal making more than he ended up signing for. Hartenstein fucked up? So what? What do you expect our front office to do about it? They would have taken Hartenstein back. Either he thought he could get more money elsewhere or he didnt want to play for the cavs. Nothing the cavs could do.

So what did the cavs do, they signed a tall prospect named Tacko to a camp invite deal to see if he can make the roster on a non guaranteed vet min contract. The fact this is the 12th page of this thread is amazing, although the fact his name is Tacko and he signed on Tuesday is one page worth of jokes on this thread.

Why the fuck do you care about either? One wouildnt sign and didnt want to be here, the other isnt guaranteed to make any money.
Well, if you know for a fact that Hartenstein wouldn't have taken a guaranteed deal, even at the vet minimum from the Cavs, then you know more than me. But, I care because I think Hartenstein on a vet minimum would've been really good value for the Cavs. All other things being equal, it's better to have guys on the roster who are considered value contracts in case you want to make a trade down stream, as opposed to someone who's almost certainly not going to be on the active roster.

Yes I know for a fact. Fact everyone knows that Hartenstein opted out of a bigger deal. He was under contract for 2.5 mill or something like that and he opted out.

You dont know that? It was pretty early in free agency. So he didnt want to be hear for whatever reason. Nothing the Cavs could do. If you need more explanation how opting out of a contract works, google it.

And WTF does value contract have to do with anything? Are you trying to explain things like that to me? I understand that and allot more, its the fact that hartenstein opted out of a contract with the Cavs that was for money than he ended up signing with Clippers.

And anyone could have signed Hartenstein, you liked him but the league didnt. He could only get a non guaranteed vet min deal. I am a bit shocked too, but evidence is in what happened...Hartenstein is not a value contract, 30 teams passed on him for vet min.

Isn’t it called Denali now?

(I‘m an expert in all things McKinley because I’m a former Polar Bear).
Even with Tacko, the Pups will still find a way to lose before regionals.

Been out of C Town for years….what is the Wolstein Center? Where is it located?
Formerly known as the CSU Convocation Center, it's about ⅔ the capacity of Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. It's near CSU at the corner of E 18th and Carnegie.

Something else is up with Hartenstein. There must be some bad news going on around him. He played well enough for someone to take a flier on him. As a backup his foul rate is not that concerning.

He must have personality issues.

It sucks I thought he had potential.

I figured it was easier to let a Clevelander answer it than actually look it up. I'm not from Cleveland, just stayed at a Holiday Inn there once.

Agreed. Guys with worse numbers/performance are getting better deals.

When he was coming out of college, somebody told me he was better than Gobert.

So, we have a future hall of famer, which is nice.
Quit being dramatic- when they said he was better than Gobert, they meant getting things off tall shelves, which Fall is better at with a 4 inch height advantage. Give Fall his due.

WTF? Nobody has anything to say about Tacko Friday?

I think he is playable? I don't want him on the floor every night, but as a break glass in case of injury guy who can protect the rim I think it's ok.

I want someone like this to take centers in case Allen gets hurt. It was why I wanted Hartenstein. I think he can play enough for it to work
