Welcome to Cleveland, David Bell - WR - Purdue

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Here's what I posted in the RCF Mock Draft when I drafted Bell at pick #91.

Basically feel like he is as good of a receiver as his quarterback allows him to be. I don't want Bell playing for a bad passer, but for an upper-echelon QB, he moves the chains on third down. Love the pick for Watson.

With the 91st pick, Tampa Bay selects David Bell, WR, Purdue.

Bell completed his career in West Lafayette as a first-team Associated Press All-American, Big Ten Conference Receiver of the Year and Biletnikoff Award finalist after grabbing 93 receptions for 1,286 yards (13.8 per catch) and six scores to lead his squad over 11 starts. He clearly slide because of his disappointing 4.65 40 yard dash time.

Tom Brady doesn't need Bell to be a #1 or #2 outside receiver. The Bucs already have Godwin, Evans and now speedy Russell Gage. Bell can be the possession receiver who gets open due to timing, much like Wes Walker and Julian Edelman. This is just the type of backup receiver who always thrives with Brady.

Much better hands and body contrile. Elite body control and hands. If he ran a 4.4, he is a top 10 pick, but then again if my Aunt had a dick, she would be my Uncle, lol

Hartline was a possession receiver with good size, but not top end speed. Bell feels like he is of the same type of player, though Hartline had more size...

This seems like a scouting or football guy pick which is really out of character. Do we know who scouted him? Sounds like far less athletic Brian Robiskie.

I like this guy. He has vision and can see gaps. I love his route running. I think he's going to be a fan fav.

So who better to bring back to mentor this kid than Jarvis himself?

Waldman mentioned Hopkins as a best case scenario.

I didn’t think much of it, but Hopkins’ athletic testing was actually horrific as well.

Hasn’t made much difference for Nuk :chuckle:
