Welcome to Cleveland, Demetric Felton

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Had the same thought today. It's good to have a back besides Hunt that can make plays in the passing game.

The Browns have a great, balanced stable of running backs.

Thing with Felton is he can play legit WR, which means it doesnt have to be Chubb/hunt or Felton. Felton can play with either of Hunt or Chubb because you can split him wide, then do a buble screen to him and get him in space.

It will be interesting to see how we use Felton moving forward.

He looks like Reggie Bush wearing that #25

Definitely great in seeing talent we pick in the later rounds with Schwartz and now Felton. These guys help our offense to be more creative. That spin move by Felton and not getting down was great to see.

I'm with @Triplethreat on this one (man does that feel weird to say!).

Demetric Felton isn't going to be some star in the NFL. But, he can be a very nice role player.

This is coming from someone who thought Felton was good value as a third or fourth rounder since the start of the draft process.

Every team can use a shifty, elusive receiving back. He looks like a good little receiving back. He's no Barry Sanders. He's never going to be a pro bowler as a running back (might get in as a return man). But that's not why we drafted him. We drafted him to fill a role and I think he'll do an excellent job in that role.

I don't like calling him better than Duke Johnson, because I'd be shocked if he ever has a season as good as Duke's best season, and that was playing for Hue Jackson's dumb ass.

But he can absolutely be a good, useful NFL player, and we seem to have a coaching staff competent enough to use him properly.

Duke would’ve been dangerous as hell under Stef, but he would have still requested a trade because he thinks he’s more than a gadget guy

I think Duke was more than a gadget guy. He wasn't a three down bellcow back, but he was a really good NFL player and, while he seemed to get a reputation as injury prone because he often limped off the field, he was never really hurt to the point where he actually missed games.

Felton is a sixth round pick who has had two good NFL plays. I think he looked fantastic today, and I liked the pick, but let's not get ahead of our skis here. Duke Johnson had over 1000 yards on a shit Hue Jackson team where he was the lone bright spot. Felton has fifty yards. Keep it in perspective.
