I think they're different.I think Duke was more than a gadget guy. He wasn't a three down bellcow back, but he was a really good NFL player and, while he seemed to get a reputation as injury prone because he often limped off the field, he was never really hurt to the point where he actually missed games.
Felton is a sixth round pick who has had two good NFL plays. I think he looked fantastic today, and I liked the pick, but let's not get ahead of our skis here.
Both of them could be better than James White was for the Brady Patriots.
Duke has more speed. Felton has more quick shifty jitterbug stuff. Duke could get separation on routes via speed. Felton can get separation on routes with quickness and footwork.
I'd rather have Felton run an arrow route. I'd rather have Duke run a wheel. I trust Felton to make someone miss. I trust Duke to hit a crease and get vertical.
As runners, I'd be lying to you if I said I knew anything about Felton's vision and patience. Just haven't seen enough to be informed yet.
