Welcome to Cleveland Elijah Moore

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re-watched this 6 minute video of all of JSN's receptions in the Rose Bowl

#15, Malone Matele is the one who takes the brunt of the JSN punishment. He also was the primary defender on Marvin Harrison's 1st TD

By my count, the 3rd string running back (#2 Bernard) only gets toasted once on JSN's 1st TD of the day. Missed several tackles along the way. Primary defender on Marvin Harrison's 2nd TD and gave up several catches to Harrison

And Clark Phillips #8 definitely did not get pantsed by Smith-Njigba. He only allowed 1 catch to JSN on a long developing 20 yard slant. And he was the primary defender on Marvin Harrison's 3rd TD. The below video shows a nice PBU vs. JSN, forcing a fumble on a JSN busted coverage, a redzone INT when matched up with Julian Fleming, and a few nice tackles at the LOS

Is Marvin Harrison Jr. going to be the highest WR ever drafted? He's got to be the favorite for first non-QB drafted next year. Odds probably have him at #2 on the board.

No idea. I don't think the two are comparable at all, and I was high on Elijah Moore.

One thing they have in common--the ability to play (and win) outside.

JSN will get moved around, and going back to 2021 I remember Garrett Wilson switching from outside to slot with JSN. Again, that isn't a knock, it just shows that release packages will be an area for growth in the NFL.

I picked Wilson as OROY before the season and cashed in on high expectations for Wilson in franchise drafts. He also had to work on release packages as a rookie. JSN could be on the same trajectory.

All of that said, my original point is that Elijah Moore would be a top three receiver in this draft, so I'm glad the Browns pounced on this opportunity.

Phillips definitely got worked but it’s also important to consider Ryan Day had a month to prepare to create some really unfavorable isolation situations because of elongated protection.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to say that it’s all well and good and there’s no reason to be concerned at all but that was a perfect storm for any poor bastard that was tasked with that feat on that offensive explosion.

I'd watch that video I posted above that shows all 15 of JSN's catches. Phillips is only matched up on JSN on one of those catches (2:41 mark)

They have forced this guy the ball all season and the only way to describe him thus far is disappointing.

It seems like when they throw him the ball across the line of scrimmage it's horribly inaccurate or he's too close to the sidelines. Are our QBs that bad or is he in spots he shouldn't be?

Our QBs suck.
