Who do you think will be the face on the team? Many people still believe it's Love but I don't see it at all.

It's tough. Neither Love or Drummond really have that personality. I'd say Sexton could be it, but even though guys like him, he is not just one of the guys. He is this Alien dude who has trouble relating to other humans.

Cedi sort of tried, but his ability just isn't there. TT had that going last year, and it was a big reason I wanted him back. He bridges the old and the new and has the cache because of the role he played on the championship team.

I think it comes down to Nance and Okoro honestly. Unless we get someone else. They are both well-liked and skilled. I said earlier Okoro won the minds of his Auburn team even though everyone was older than him. He is like Sexton in his work ethic, but he is more personable and vocal. I really think he has a chance to be a leader, but he is too young for the vets we currently have. Love and Drummond aren't going to be looking up to him, unless he is even more amazing than I think. I do think he can emerge as the leader for the younger guys.

Lots of rumors about Hawks liking Hayward. They just drafted OO from USC who plays the same role Capela does who never played for ATL after the trade last season. And Celtics apparently tried hard for Capela themselves. It doesn't matter what Hayward wants. His options are find a destination that works for Boston or the Knicks or Hawks (Who don't even have to sign and trade for him unless They want another FA as well)

Makes a lot of sense to trade Capela for Hayward for them.

I never understood the situation about Sexton. I mean,I understand that basketball is a team sport but if a player wants to work on his game, why give him flack for it..

You would think veterans would praise him for busting his ass for his age. You got veterans that wouldn't put that much work in their career.I find the whole thing ridiculous..

Just prepared the worst Tri Tip roast of my life. Why? because the fucking meat thermometer was fucking inaccurate. The recipe said 50 minutes and I took it out at 1:40 so you can only imagine. The thermometer showed 100f and I told everyone that we need to take it out at around the 50 minute mark and something is off, but they said no way! The issue is that apartment is a rental and the oven is not well calibrated at all, so I had no idea whether it was the oven or the thermometer, or both. Probably both.
Dinner ruined with well done+++ tough meat. Life sucks. How do I continue from here? I like roasts, but i'm working with a shitty oven and a terrible thermometer that is now in the trash.

I put this rant on the Isaac Okoro thread cause he would understand and the traffic here is pretty good for a good rant.

Quit yer whining!

When I was stationed in Okinawa, we lived offbase in a studio apartment. The oven wouldn't stay lit -- you had to turn it on, wait for enough of a gas buildup for it all to ignite in a flash, and then it would do it all over again. Literally no constant flame at all, and it overheated wildly because of the flashing. My CO and his wife lived above us, and we were going to do Thanksgiving together. They didn't have an oven at all, so it was up to me.

So after experimenting, I found that if I used a stick to prop open the oven door just the right amount, the flashes wouldn't get too bad. Didn't have meat thermometer, so I just kind of had to guess.

That's how I made a Thanksgiving turkey, and it was one damn fine bird. To this day, that is my proudest cooking achievement, because it never should have worked in a million years.

I think he's just introverted, and probably just isn't as verbal as the other guys. They may take that for him being a dick, but it's just that he's not a big communicator.

My guess is one of the reasons why they drafted Okoro is the work ethic and development they saw in Sexton. It seems Okoro has the same kind of work ethic and possibly the same self awareness that Sexton has. I think they see it as a way to change the culture.

Sexton might get singled out for putting in so much work. I think people have said Cedi works alot too. You add Okoro to that mix. Maybe you then get a couple other young guys buying in to additional work outs. At some point the guys who aren't doing that won't be the norm and will start to look lazy.

The Cavs have seemingly being looking for a way to build a good culture for a long time. Maybe the traits of Okoro and Sexton drive this organization to that sustainable culture that the team can be based off of.

We don't have that kind of player on the roster. Haliburton might have fit the bill. But I think that person will only from the outside via trade.
