One thing Okoro needs to improve on is finishing in the paint. Probably just needs to develop
some moves and put on some muscle.
I agree he needs moves but not muscle. Dude is a tank

He was supposed to be a good finisher. I just think like I said early, his size right now is a bit of an issue. He is having a bit of an issue with the length, and he is mostly below the rim finisher on his drives(despite being an elite leaper off 1 foot). He is very well balanced on his drives and controlled, but the length is affecting his shot right now. I believe he will adjust to it. But like I said, I wish he was 2 inches taller. That applies to the defensive end as well.

I have seen progress as far as attacking off the dribble and creating plays off screens. I like that. It will take some time, but I do see progress in certain areas.

I'm seeing the same thing. I've watched him play literally perfect defense a few times a game and his lack of length is what prevented him from altering a shot enough to force a miss. Part of it is also NBA players being extremely good. But the lack of length is a thing. It's a game of inches.

I think he has the physical ability to be a good driver. He's springy. He's flashes skill (tries layups with both hands) but will also demonstrate a rawness of skill on the same drive. Becomes more apparent with every game that he needs to dedicate the offseason to fixing his handle. He definitely lacks refinement around the rim. Out of control, not anticipating contact well.

I definitely believe he's a two-guard you pair with a dominant ballhandling PG. You have him guard the other team's best guard and lock them down.

I have to agree that right now he looks more like a 2 than a 3, due to his height. He can certainly guard the SF position, but might not be able to completely lock down the longer 3s consistently. Against 2s he's gonna be a problem for opposing teams.

However, he has so much potential and good BBIQ already that I frankly hesitate to talk about anything he "can't do". Way too early for that.

JB mentioned the effect of Okoroas' defense on the game tonight
2 different times in the post game. he said Okoro makes guys
beat him, he doesn't make many mistakes on d. Mentioned
Okoro has good anticipation.

There were times where he matched up against Harden and Kyrie in ISO situations and forced them to take contested shots. His defense is super advanced for a 19 year old. There was one particular possession in the 3rd qtr where he didn’t fall for any of Kyrie’s dribble moves and contested a bad miss on the the baseline. Crazy that this kid is so young. Imagine where he’s gonna be when he learns the league and the refs start giving him benefit of the doubt.

He was an excellent finisher in college, with both hands, and displayed quite the opposite of an "out of control" tendency. Definitely needs to get adjusted to the NBA length but he will get there. Luckily he gets to go against Drummond, McGee, Allen, and LNJ in practice.

Think he is about 75% on corner 3's and 0% from everywhere else on the perimeter
