Isaac seems like a good work ethic guy. If we can get him playing his position and develop some of his basketball skills he'll be a force on the court. His strength, size, and mentality should guarantee he has a role on the team for a long time to come.

Butler was a bigger longer guy than Okoro. Please, no more comparisons.

He is at best a 'heavy" for a guy like Garland.

Nobody is comparing Okoro to Butler. Butler had some good words to say about Okoro, which is what @2 For The Brew was referencing when he said "Jimmy Butler tried to tell everyone"

“I was talking to U.D. (Udonis Haslem) at the end of the game and we agreed the kid is going to be really good,” Butler said of Okoro. “He plays within the game. He takes all of the right shots. He gets stops and rebounds. He is always passing the ball to the open guy. I really like his game.

“Obviously, he is matched up against me and he plays incredibly hard. He is going to be in this league for a long time and he is going to make a lot of money in this league, too. … His potential is out of this world. Hopefully, he is 10 times better than I am. If he keeps working, the sky is the limit.”

If we play him at the 2 he will bully guys. He's a little short for the 3 but that muscle will help him no doubt.
I really like him as a 2. I agree that I don't think he has the height/length to be our primary wing defender against other team's SF's, like Giannis, Butler, LeBron, Kawhi, PG13, etc.

I just wish we had that guy--that point forward, franchise-player SF. Because if you put Sexton/Okoro/Mobley/Allen around that guy, damn is that a good roster and a team I would love to root for.

Those guys rarely exist. Kuminga could become one in several years.

Jimmy Butler tried to tell everyone but Okoro still has his doubters.

He‘s the one guy on our team I would hate to lose.

I like Garland over Okoro, but I believe Okoro can be an all star level player some day too.

I think I brought this up before, but Okoro really reminds me of Paul Pierce but slightly shorter and way less douchey.

But in all seriousness, I really do like the Caron Butler comp for him that was brought up at some point. Caron was a do-it all 2/3 who was a little smaller than you'd like, didn't shoot as well as you'd like, but was a plus playmaker and elite on D. I can really see Okoro being a similar player. If that is your 3rd or 4th best guy, you are in excellent shape.

I think @Randolphkeys gets the credit for that comparison, and it's pretty spot on.

Guy got big. Quick question, which is a better line up construction?
PG: Garland
SG: Okoro
SF: Barnes
PF: Love
C: Allen

OR

PG: Sexton
SG: Okoro
SF: Nance/Prince
PF: Love
C: Mobley

Don't matter how jacked he is if he's still missing 2 out of every 3 3point attempts.

OTOH If he’s hitting well over 1/2 from 2, 1/3 from 3 is just fine though. And theoretically, getting bigger gives him a better shot at that.
