Gotta love Okoro! While other kids his age are out partying, he's grinding and won't leave the gym.
Yep. We know that to pretty much be the same for Sexton as well. Not sure on Garland but I wouldn't be surprised if he's the same way. Allen probably too but he won't be working out with the team and risking injury until his free agency/extension is sorted out.

When you talk about Mobley, Okoro, Sexton, Garland, and Allen, it actually is a great core personalities and hard workers. Obviously, a longer wing is necessary and at some point, the likely could benefit from one wild card, edgier dude but that can wait until the culture is established and 100% solid

Not sure i would give JB the credit for having "built" the culture - as i feel like that's typically done by players and by example - but I'm glad to see that it's contagious.

Now we just got to get rid of everyone who wasn't there who's grandma didn't pass away.

Gosh, I mostly just hope the coaches don't cripple him again by planting him in the corner. It's still sort of amazing to me how good he looked at the end of the season and showed they weren't properly utilizing him.

Hopefully Okoro follows the trend of our other young guys improving a lot after absolutely ass rookie seasons lol.

Sexton:
18-19: -4.7 BPM
19-20: -1.8 BPM
20-21: 0.0 BPM

Garland:
19-20: -5.6 BPM
20-21: -1.6 BPM

Okoro:
20-21: -5.0 BPM

And hopefully Mobley comes in a lot more NBA-ready than the three of them. I think in terms of BPM he’ll fall somewhere between -0.5 and 1.5 his rookie year.

uh … maybe he improved quite a bit during the season? With limited camp / preseason he had to learn on the job, and his initial focus was defense.

One could give at least a little credit to the team for drafting and coaching him during the season, but Gilbert / Koby / JBB are hated and despised by a lot of people so I realize that’s asking a lot.

Guess you can argue for a stretch of the season he shouldn't have been our there but the Cavs simply aren't interested in the earn your minutes route for rookies. Mike Gerrity, Director of Player Development, said on a podcast recently that he gained confidence as the season progressed, cited the work he put in and mentioned that he was pleasantly surprised by his on ball skills in the pick and roll. I think they've done a great job in that department in general and you can see the work guys put in the gym and on the court.

Don't hate them at all really, just seems there was a skill set they were hiding or something. Or in other words, planting him in the corner wasn't working or helping him, imo.

I think there have already been comments that the coaches were surprised with his playmaking down the final 10 games and plan to put him in more picks and roll etc..
I wouldn't be surprised to see him handle the ball a lot in summer league

When was the last time in this decade that the Cavs utilized anyone the way they were supposed to?
