Thought it last year before the trade, and now, OBJ doesn’t care about anything other than OBJ.
Landry giving it 100% and OBJ maybe, 30%. Id tradehim for a 3rd. OBJ is the issue and always has been. He’s soft as Charmin.

Odell has played the entire season and continues to play through the end of a lost season with a hernia.

Take it from someone who's had and participated in sports with a hernia, if he was all about OBJ he would have sat out the season and had surgery immediately. The pain borders on unbearable and anyone who has only their own best interest at heart would refuse to continue, and I wouldn't begrudge them for that either.

You can call him a lot of things, but one take that simply isn't true is that he has lacked commitment to the cause this season.

While I agree to a lot of this, why should we believe him that he has one? If it’s really as painful as you and others make it out to be, how can he play with it for months and months?
Seems like a way to distract from his comments about being in Cleveland.

It's a weird injury (from my experience anyway), you can play through it but you go through spells of pain during and then excruciating pain afterwards. It also gets progressively worse over time which would explain odell being able to play this long into the season with it.

I find it hard understanding why we should believe the media that say odell wants out of cleveland, but call the man himself and his quarterback a liar when they speak on his injury. You'd be going down a very slippery slope lying about an injury, especially when you've get the face of franchise getting involved.

I don’t believe he has told anyone he wants out, I think the injury news came out of purpose when it did. It may be true, it may not be true, but the timing is funny.

Example A of people who will call JJ Watt a warrior when he plays through injury.

This is a bad take. Not only has it been 11 years, as was stated above, the Browns have since completely changed the hospital they work with and are under new ownership. There legitimately could not be any more separation from that time to now.

That's fair. I am just frustrated by this season as a whole and hearing things like this just takes me back to past years of futility I thought we were ready to put behind us but I guess the browns gotta browns.

Your frustration is valid; I think we have a ton of issues in the organization still. That said, I think taking issue with this would be misplacing that frustration.

Setting aside the injury conversation, the Browns seem to have mismanaged Beckham from a scheme perspective IMO.

Some of the blame for this can be placed on Callaway's flameout but the team should have really gone out and got a field stretcher, so Beckham could work more of the 1st and 2nd level, where he has regularly excelled.

2018: Average Air Yards Per Target: 11.5
2019: Average Air Yards Per Target: 12.6

That is not an insignificant difference. His Average Air Yards Per Target with NYG was consistently in the low to mid 11's. He's also eating up a much larger share of the the air yards this year vs. last.....which intimates we are using him more as a deep threat than he has been in the past.

His catch percentages have also dipped considerably.....some of that can be attributed to a few extra drops but also by schematically longer routes. The further you push players down field, the more you will see those catch percentage numbers drag. When you get down in to the target yard ranges he had been in NYG, you see those percentages spike.

So the recipe has been a couple more drops, sending him further downfield on average and getting him significantly fewer targets on a per game basis. Lower percentage throws + fewer opportunities and people are wondering why his numbers are down. He's not any less skilled, he's just not being used in a way that maximizes his talent.
