At one point of the season, there was a point where the Cavs were comfortable in the 4th and 5th spot, and having a 0% chance of missing the playoffs. Now at the final 10 games, the Cavs have gone 4-6, while the Nets have gone 8-2.. Winning the tiebreaker, and sneaking in..

How about that? At half the season, if someone said that the Cavs were not making the playoffs while in 4th spot, i think you would be crazy, but it happened.

It was either Nets time to shine or very bad luck in Cleveland.. We just need to help we get a good offseason, by signing a good SG, to help out LeBron, and get some changes for this team roster.

What were your thoughts on the Cavs season this year? We did alot better then last year, +7 on our Wins list.. Hopefully next year we can get 45+ wins and get a playoff spot..

Maybe next year... maybe next year...

At the start of the season everything was rolling fine for us.. Being in 1st in the Central for about a month or maybe longer. But then after the all star break all hell broke lose. Honestly even to this day I thought for sure we would of made the playoffs. Right now I'm in shock.. I still can't beelive the Cavs missed the playoffs after a great start. It was a great year and I loved every minute of it.. I just wish I could of seen LeBron in a playoff game... Oh well maybe next year.

It was not a very big surprise that they missed the playoffs. I even pointed out that this would probably happen back in november on the old board. You have to be realistic when it comes to these things. Hopefully all the new cavs fans have learned their lessen in not getting their hopes up too high.

Making the playoffs next year will probably be even harder. The Pacers will have Artest back, the Pistons will be the Pistons, the Bucks may get TJ Ford back and Cleveland has to find a way to improve because just staying the same isn't good enough.

The East is now much stronger than it was this time last season. The Heat got Shaq, the Sixers got C-Webb, the Celts got Antawn for free, the Wizards and Bulls emerged. All those teams add to world-champ detroit and a very deep Indiana team. Throw in the resurgent Nets with Kidd and Carter, who now get J-Rich and you have yourselves a conference.

The Cavs made most of their noise in the first half, going 12-0 against Atlanta, Charlotte, and New Orleans. They pretty much had the same quality over the season, and if you spread some of the games against bad teams late, maybe they would have gotten some momentum going. In the meantime, the Nets, Celts, Bulls, and Indy all made huge leaps after a slow start, just goes to show that late momentum is better than early good times then a drop off.

With free agency coming up, the Cavs get to replace guys like McInnis, Wagner, Diop, and Harris with something. Chances are, that cap space will be put to better use than it is with those guys, so things are looking up. Get a coach in there who actually has an offensive playbook and can get the team to play like it always has its back to the wall (or in the wall as Gooden would say) and add a year of experience and you're looking at a team that has an excellent shot at making the playoffs next year even though it will be tougher to get in.
