We're going to Disney World -- NBA plans to reopen for an abbreviated play-in - playoffs season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I remember when Durant maybe, possibly coming back for the restart was supposed to make them a contender...

I didn't think that was going to happen. I am curious about Jordan. Is he having a bad go with the virus? Why did he decide not to come? Personally, I would feel better if I had already had it unless it was screwing me up bad. He is older, and has less athleticism to spare than he used to.

I would guess most teams are going to be missing guys.

I think if you test positive you end up getting paid even if you sit out the rest of the season. My guess he knew they weren't going anywhere with the roster they had and this just gave him the out he was looking for.

Wow. Thoughts and prayers to Rajon Rondo during this difficult time.

Does anyone stay in hotels nicer than this? I am just curious what he wants. This is 2-300 bucks a night type place. I have stayed in nicer hotels, but mostly internationally. Like you can get a really nice Mexico city hotel that is better than this with a waterfall shower and more space, but I wonder what he wants exactly. A suite? Does anyone know what they usually get? I sort of find it hard to believe each guy on every NBA team stays in a nicer hotel than this every game.

Here's a few good stories about it.

i travel 60-80 nights a year, this is absolutely and 100% a typical hotel room that you get at any franchise (marriott, hilton, etc). I see 0 reason he should be bitching.

I will say there are some brands that are a bit nicer that are full suites, but jesus its a god damn hotel room what does he expect

Very typical yeah. I wonder if they put in longer beds? Most non-NBA hotels usually only have a couple of those. My boss is 6'8" and sleeps diagonally on a standard king when we travel.

I think the disappointment is because they will be living out of that space for potentially months. He probably wouldn't care if it was a night or couple nights.

I would compare it to getting to your freshman dorm and realizing you have to live out of that space for a year with someone else. It's most likely a big adjustment.

I actually thought they would give players suites when they could and the rest of them would get two adjoining rooms with one being converted to a living room.

I travel a lot, and this is a 100 dollar room in most places, but probably 300 on Disney property.. would be 300 in San Jose!

Thing is there are not a lot of the Suites available..

I mean he is a millionaire and books the millionaire rooms when he travels. The biggest vector for long term stay will be the bed quality, which you can't get from this pick, and the comfort outside the room.. if you are quarantined in a space like this for a month it will drive you crazy..

Yeah, I wouldn't want to live out of a hotel room like that for months and I'm hardly a millionaire in lifestyle. It's the kind of room you get when you are in town for a few days for meetings. It's hardly a prison cell but it's a little spartan even compared to what even a business person would seek for a really extended stay.

And the key issue as someone said is bed quality. ALl of those guys obviously need big comfortable beds.

I hate what's become of snitching the last few months in general society.

But, CP3 and LeKaren jokes aside, which appear en masse in that reply, Reddit, etc., this is a good move to keep the bubble going.
