Went to BGSU, started in 07 and graduated in 2011. I got accepted to OSU, CWRU, and some others. Wasn't a huge fan of OSU's size and just couldn't afford the other 2. BG gave me a ton of scholarship money.

Went to BGSU, started in 07 and graduated in 2011. I got accepted to OSU, CWRU, and Cornell. Wasn't a huge fan of OSU's size and just couldn't afford the other 2. BG gave me a ton of scholarship money.

That's why I went there as well. Could have gone to Marquette, but would have been in debt about a hundred grand by the time I graduated. At BG, they gave me a full tuition (four years) scholarship just for having over a 3.5 in high school and getting over a 30 on the ACT. Toledo offered the same deal, but they didn't have a CS department.

Didn't have your GPA because I slacked off in HS, however I had a slightly higher ACT score and a lot of impressive extracurriculars. They gave me about a half ride. A lot of my high school friends went to Case but I couldn't justify dropping 40k a year for undergrad. My current student loan debt is less than half of what a single year at Case would have cost me.

Had a half ride for the EW Scripps School of Journalism as a frosh, but chose the Army instead. Oh what I wouldn't give to make that decision differently.

My resume now far excedes my education but I'd only spend money on my wife or son's higher education at this point.

Got my B.S. in neuroscience and biology from Baldwin-Wallace in Berea, Ohio in 2011. Fun fact: BW's neuro program was awarded for being the best undergrad neuro program in the country this past fall. The people who make it through the neuro program have a 95% acceptance rate into med school or grad school. I'm now at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia getting my PhD in neuroscience.
