Browns have a big needs on their defensive line, but if they want to fill those needs in the draft, they likely need to get a little higher than #26.

Let's guess what will happen of draft night.

I think we'll pick at 26.

I think we understand that the NFL currently values picks now too much in relation to future picks, so if a team is willing to overpay to move up, we'd be happy to trade down. Unfortunately, I can't see a prospect being on the board at 26 that teams are desperate to trade up for.

I assume that at least once during the draft, we'll trade away or down for future draft capital a la the Saints trade last year.

Can I give you my answer in two weeks?

What I want to happen is that they package picks and go get someone high on their board that fell. What I think happens is they take BPA, and let the board fall as it may.

I do not think they trade down, unless there was a future first, because of the fifth years value.

1. BPA from one of the following positions: DE, DT, CB, WR
2. Trade back

I do not see a scenario where this regime will trade up in the first round. Goes against everything they seem to value.

It's setting up really well for the Browns to sit back and see whatever of the top DEs and CBs fall to them... I would lean towards a DE being the likeliest pick but wouldn't be surprised depending on how it falls if they take a CB..

I think DT could be considered but between the thin draft class at DT and the Browns needing a NT and a 3-tech, I don't think they'll take one before the 3rd round...

I would say trading back would be an option, perhaps if it's for future picks, but at this point the Browns need quality and not quantity but I'd put tradeback as the next option after DE and CB...

We can give all the lip service to always BPA and being open to WR and LB at 26, but at this point, barring a drastic surprise in the next few weeks of FA, I think it is a 95% likelihood the 1st pick(especially if it remains at 26) will be a DE, pocket collapsing DT, or CB.

I’d break the remaining 5% down as 3% WR, 1% LB, and 1% all the remaining positions combined

My guess - trade further back to end of 1st or early 2nd.

I wouldn't mind a trade for another 1st next year with more picks this year.

Who will be the best tOSU player available at 26?

Whatever the Browns do in the first round, I hope it's better than the shitty bed the Buckeyes just laid...

Pass rusher, WR, or CB.

I wouldn't be shocked if they had a cluster of guys and traded out of the first to add a future 2nd and day 3 pick

Not sure what position, but they're going best defender available at 26 unless a stud WR drops.

The best DE, DT, or CB.

Dark horse is WR if there is bad value on D.
