What's up with Carmelo?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
His age 29 season was about 6 years ago, there have been 5 seasons since then.

Okay.. so at 29 he was still above average and at age 30 and 31 aswell imo. His real big decline began in his last season on NYK and he proceeded to decline heavily @ OKC and Houston.

I disagree. I think he’s been average or worse at everything over the last 5 seasons.

I'm just going by advanced stats.. nothing more. Personal preference or how much he impacted winning is another thing, and Idislike Melos game ad much as the next guy.

I'm looking at the numbers as well. His best attribute is scoring, and he had average efficiency with high usage in his last 3 years in NY before cratering in OKC/Houston.

Why are you implying that high usage a is a bad thing when mentioning efficiency? If he were a role player on low usg and had average efficiency then I would agree - but he wasn't... his efficiency is quite okay considering his high usg. He also put up way above average obpm and above average win shares.

I didn’t imply anything. I merely stated a fact. You don’t even disagree with my actual point, so I’m not sure why you’re nitpicking.

I agree that he was not conductive to winning basketball. I do believe he was certainly an above average player 5 years ago. I just don't think that his efficiency is a factor in whether he was or wasn't an above average bb player.

And i'm sorry...basketball seems to be dead around here at this time, so we are talking about Carmelo fucking Anthony. I still stand behind my statement - Carmelo was an above average bb player considering most metrics.
