Which guy is more likely to stick in the league? Dean seemed like he might be a rotation player. The team played better with him on the floor.

I have a strange feeling about Lamar. I think he might be good. His 3pt shot sucks and is his achilles heel, but I just think he seems to have a high IQ and I was surprised at how fast he caught up to the speed of the game as a rookie. Dean wasn't able to do that his rookie year.

Put in a poll just to see who the fave end of bench guy is.

I think obviously Dean Wade. He has size, range, sometimes can defend, better IQ and overall a better player

I picked Pangos.

Out of Stevens and Wade I think it's Wade. Stevens just lacks the game for todays NBA. I'm not sure he ever becomes a competent shooter which will really hold him back. I honestly think both are at some point destined to play overseas.

ok I will be the one that says Lamar here. He can't shoot but he is in the league for everything else. if that doesn't tell anyone how highly thought of he is otherwise not sure what does. If you can stick in the NBA and not make a jumper you have intangibles by the truck load.
Wade , Pangos and others have specialist skills and standard athleticism Wade is a knockdown triple getter and is just average scoring elsewhere so not much else is brought to the table there and Pangos is a true floor general with a solid floater but a massive defensive liability worse than Sexton and Garland.
I don't consider the other 2 pro quality players but probably worth developing as end of bench injury insurance

Its going to be Broderic Thomas. He is clearly the worst candidate and therefore will be the one that succeeds

I voted for Stevens

Wade has already stuck in the league. He is in his third contract year having played in 63 games last year. He is is a versatile big with range. He played minutes at 3 positions last year., although PF is probably his sweet spot. He is a below average player, but is good enough to get minutes off the bench, and he is only 24.

I think Stevens has a (kind of a long) shot, because he has an NBA physique and can bang without injury. He played minutes at every position last year, but seemed most at home at the 3. He is similar physically to Okoro, but has only inside skills and no range. I don't think he has much of a handle or passing vision, but I think he has an array of inside moves, and is not afraid to throw an elbow. That they gave him a contract says to me that he worked a lot last year and the Cavs are interested in how far he can come.. He was a UDFA, which is a free shot and I think he has over performed.

Pangos is a complete unknown for me.

I watched two games where Badrick playes in summer league. I saw nothing that would make me think he is going anywhere. If I had my pick of the SL litter at guard, I would have liked to see Hand get a shot. But TBH non of those guys looked useful.. (excepting Stevens, Okoro, Mobley of course)

Lamar is an actually wing, who can defend.

Maybe some day, he will learn to shoot.

These five guys could play 1-5 and be on the floor at the same time. They wouldn’t even be good enough for garbage time.

I am not sure these 5 guys would be good enough as a starting 5 to make the tourney.
