Which sport will a woman break into first?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Worth noting that boys 14-15 year old soccer teams have clobbered the U.S. women's national national team.

So the answer is "never" unless it is a stunt or league mandated. However, women have the right to play in those leagues if they are good enough, which is why the whole idea of pay equity is so bogus. Why should they be paid the same as players who are clearly so much better? Want more money, be a better player. And if you can't be a better player because of limited athletic ability, then join the club of the 99.9% of males who also lack that level of athleticism, and don't get paid NBA money either.

At least women athletes who don't measure up to NBA (or even G League) levels of ability have the option to play in the WNBA, from which males are barred.

Just to add to this. In HS, our girls basketball team was one of the top in the state for several years running, primarily because they had a girl on their team that was 6’4” and had a scholarship to play D1 basketball. Easily one of the best players in the state.

The girls basketball coach would always come to the boys intramural games and get a team of guys to come scrimmage the girls varsity. The purpose being he was trying to prepare them to face bigger and quicker teams in the tournament. I had played on the freshman team, but had stopped playing basketball as I played two other sports I was much better at. Aside from myself, I was the only guy that had ever made a HS bball team.

Anyway, we beat them so bad every time the coach eventually stopped keeping track of score. They wound up making it to the Final 4 that year and lost a close game to narrowly miss the championship game. In other words, an intramural team of HS boys that never played organized basketball and were all 6’1” or shorter could’ve won the state championship in girls basketball that year.
