Fell down the rabbit hole...

With the diversity of this forum, curious who each of you call the greatest of your generation..

Mine is Barry Bonds. In 2004, if Bonds didn’t record a hit, he still would have had a higher OB% than the lead leader in hits

I’m about to be 31.

The most impressive hitters I’ve seen are Barry Bonds, Manny Ramírez, Albert Pujols, Miguel Cabrera, and Mike Trout.

Each of those guys, when they came up, just seemed like impossible outs in their prime.

Yeah, we might go with older/retired guys, but I honestly think Mike Trout is probably the best player of the last 50 years or so. Maybe ever.

If we are not talking about Indians.. In MLB, in the 80's, for me its Roger Clemens. He was ridiculous. I also have a warm spot for Rollie Fingers, although I was a young man when he was peak. But he gets points for rockin the handlebars..

Mike Trout is the best player I've ever seen personally. Bonds and Junior were the best I saw growing up - Vladdy Sr. was pretty special too. In terms of pitchers, Greg Maddux was amazing.

The more I think about it, Joey Votto should be included in my previous post.

@Arketebel love me some Larry Walker, he's a definite HOF'er in my opinion.

In terms of pitchers:
Clayton Kershaw
Jose Fernandez
Pedro Martinez
Roy Halladay
Max Scherzer

Honorable mention:
Verlander, Sabathia, Grienke, King Felix

Guys I didn't see enough of their primes:
Clemens, Maddux, Kevin Brown

90's?

Favorite pitcher: Maddux
Favorite batter: Griffey
Favorite Fielder: Omar
Honorable mention (personal favorite player): Lofton

2000's?
Pitcher: Pedro
Batter: Bonds
Fielder: Pudge (ok, he's more 90's but nobody stands out to me in the field from this era. Maybe Vlad throwing darts from the wall to home plate)

2010's? Trout's a god.
