Will Ohio State be champions next year?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
:chuckles:

Read this thread. The question should be looking at hindsight:

Does Ohio State win it all if Turner does not come back?

Yes. In fact, we are now a better team without Turner.
Well if he stayed we obviously would be even better.. But, we are a better team then last year for sure.

No...they are absolutely not a better team without Turner.

This team would be flat out unstoppable with ET

I could swear that you are a troll that loves to disagree with everyone.

The fact that he is right does nothing for you?

Obviously we can never know for sure, but I do know that Turner totally needed to ball to be effective. Who sits this year most of the time if Turner played? Craft? I don't like that. We are playing like a team should play this year. It's hard to imagine our defense and overall team play would be the same or better if Turner had come back.

I mean, not sure why it's that hard to believe one of the best players in the NCAA would help this team....

Not hard at all really.

The same can be said it's not hard to believe that a team playing like OSU is this year might not be as good if they had a player such as Turner who dominated the ball.,,... and having Craft ride the bench.

It all comes down to chemistry between the players and who works better together. Its possible that he could've made this team better but also he could've thrown off the teams chemistry and made us a worse team.

There is more to be said for great talent and coaching.

If Turner were here, I have no doubt he'd command the ball a bit less.....It generally happens that way when the rest of the team gets more talented.

I have zero doubt Thad Matta doesn't want Evan Turner on this team.

Do you think the Lakers would have been better of they got rid of Kobe when they acquired Shaq because they both commanded the ball?

Adding Turner to this team doesn't take the ball out of one person's hand, it takes it out of four.

Every player on the team right now plays a role, a role they wouldn't play if Turner was here. This team wouldn't nearly be the same.

Turner is no use unless he is commanding the ball and if he doesn't, he is average.

How come we have to assume the chemistry would be worse.

Do we have to assume the great coach the Buckeyes have wouldn't have the same players filling roles?...Albeit slightly altered, but possibly better...possibly worse.

Tough argument to make that an All-American and one of the best players in the NCAA makes this team worse.

Turner commanded the ball because...well...nobody else could score consistently.

Turner, and Matta could change his role to accommodate the fact he has a point guard now....He's not forced into being the player he was last year.

I mean, who would want to team a dominant wing with a dominant post presence? Turner and Sullinger, wouldn't work!
