His improvement would be the key for the Cavs making the playoffs (in addition to overall team health)… if he could play good defense and not be a non-factor on offense (at least be a cutter and make occasional outside shots) I like the Cavs chances making the playoffs this year…

That Mavs game is what many of us envisioned Okoro to ideally be with Lauri back in the lineup. Let him defend and board to make things easier for everyone on defense and they will make things easier for him on offense. This is how Butler developed in Chicago. Rose, Boozer, Noah, and Korver all made things easier for Butler on offense while he focused on defense.

Think his draft position should irrelevant to his actual progression and game at this point. If he can be another body to throw at an opposing teams best player, hit the 3 ball around 35%, and move off the ball then that's enough.

Not gonna hitch my wagon to him being a star or even a starting caliber player. Develop him and see where he's at. If he's just another sg/wing to hoard then that works out great for us. Need more talented guys like that for an eventual playoff run.

I will admit Okoro not developing into a starting caliber sg will make the road to contention a bit more bumpy.

Yep. Patience. I hope Dan doesn’t get greedy and tries to jump the process.
Give this team time. No one knows the ceiling yet.

The ceiling isn't the issue...it's the floor that people need to be patient about. Based on what this team has done when mostly healthy, I see Duncan-era Spurs, being a possibility. *My* thoughts on the floor are the Giannis-era Milwaukee Bucks.

He's strung together a couple games where he hasn't been a net negative offensively. Hope he keeps it up on Friday when he'll likely be called on to make Beal's life miserable.

I think it makes it easier for him now with all the guys back in the starting lineup. With Garland, Lauri, Mobley, and Allen, he doesn’t have to force much. What he is doing is finding gaps to get a quick bucket underneath. He’s still young guys and it’s going to take time. We’re used to rushing with conclusions but really need 3.5-4 yrs to see his full development in my opinion.

Liked his pull up mid range jumper today.
