He’s starting to find gaps to attack and is picking his spots better. His defense is becoming more consistent. I hope he cuts down on some of the recklessness and mental hiccups as the season progresses. But you can see a world where he becomes a reliable and productive player on a winning team.

He was thrown by the zone in the 2nd half. Made some stupid blunders after a really good 1st half. Has to keep shooting those 3's.

Lamar showed the type of aggressiveness Okoro needs to play with last night.

Small sample size, but over the last 4 games Okoro is shooting 37.5% from 3 on 4 attempts per game. Starting to show signs of life getting his offense moving in the right direction.

Attacking early in games and then using that to set up kick outs of off slashes (did that a few times to feed Lauri an open look at 3 last night) or get himself going where the confidence is there to can an open look 3 at a decent clip.

Go the Cedi route with him, have him develop and expand his game within a set role.

Didn't attempt a 3 but now last 5 games he's giving us 9.5 PPG, 3 RPG, 2 APG, 1 SPG on 45.9/37.5/87.5 shooting splits. That is a such a huge boost from a guy who plays solid perimeter defense.

He's attacking the rack early and in transition, cutting well off ball for bigs, finishing strong at the rim and going from there each game.

Keep developing him within his role, his game will grow!

The lineup of Garland/Okoro/Lauri/Mobley/Allen in 57:58 minutes this season is a +19.5

The lineup of Garland/Sexton/Lauri/Mobley/Allen in 66:54 minutes this season was a -1.4

I think we might be safe from Okoro being a bust. He seems to have a positive impact with his defense. He competes, he goes after loose balls. He seems to not make a ton of mistakes and even though Curry roasted him...Curry roasts everyone and that was a good lesson and he was tired.

He makes good, decisive cuts off the ball to get into the paint for layups taking advantage of all the good passers we have.

He draws contact and gets to the FT line, and seems to shoot FT's well...he's shooting 75% on the season, 81% in his last 10 games. That gives me hope that with time and dedication and just slowing down altogether he may be a decent shooter eventually. He is certainly better than 22.% from 3. I think we will see that go up soon...one good shooting game to give him some confidence may be all he needs. It seems like he turns it over more than he actually does because his turnovers often look really bad, lol. But he only turns it over 1 time a game in 30 mpg.

I think the game is still slowing down for him. I think he needs to rebuild some confidence. I think the hamstring bothered him a lot early in the season....and I think he is JUST NOW starting to really test it out in games. Once he fully trusts it, which I'd say he should be the new year, I think you will see a jump in his play. He's working really hard, that much I know.

I do think Okoro has played better defense lately than he did earlier in the season. But...MKG and Hollis-Jefferson were good defenders too. You can’t afford to be a total offensive liability in today’s NBA, so to not be a bust, we’re really going to need him to develop a reliable three.

Ehh, those guys fizzled out for a lot of different reasons. Health being chief among them especially for Kidd Gilchrist. Okoro is far ahead of both of those guys as a shooting prospect even though hes struggled thus far. He is shooting 75% from the line.

I think a 33-35% 3pt shot is the difference between him being a starter and him maybe being an energy guy off the bench...but I think he's well set up to have a productive career nonetheless.

I thought he’d be able to guard Mitchell, but I thought Garland did a better job slowing him down. Not sure what the match up numbers say about this.

You eventually reach an age where “raw” becomes “shit.”

He’s raw! Give it 24 months…

Lamar Stevens is just as effective as this guy.

Okoro isn't so bad on offense for us to recall Charles Barkley's line about DeAndre Jordan ("lock him in a gym overnight, and by morning, he'll have four points"), but he's not too far away. He'll do for now, but hopefully Koby has a trade up his sleeve to bring in a professional shooter. Doesn't need to be a superstar; just a SG who can hit an uncontested three.

A Chris Duarte or a clone of him would be phenomenal for this team.
