Zverev was playing at a ridiculous level in the first and fourth sets. I was worried for Nole after the 4th but of course he immediately breaks twice. He will be tired on Sunday. One more to go.

Damn. Heck of a season for Novak but this was his worst match I may have seen him play. From the first service game he was not himself. Great play from Med, but Nole really was uncharacteristic. Will we ever see a grand slam?!?

Meddy is a monster. He's been my favorite player this whole year. I never was a big Novak fan, but was definitely hoping for a more interesting match. I'm happy to see Medvedev get a slam.

I can honestly see this being a turning point where Medvedev starts to become the consensus best player. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see him win double digit slams.

I just will never like Novak. My dad and brother were huge tennis guys and played in college. I chose different sports but spent a lot of time watching it because of them and to them it was always a pure gentleman's game with class.

I think Novak's shit today with smashing and slamming his racket and acting like he was about to swing his racket when the ball girl was running toward him is exactly the crap I don't like about him.

He might be the best but he will never be seen the way Federer is.

I don’t know, I like him better than Roger. And I know a lot of people do. Fed fans were upset when Nole started beating him, so I get that, but the “Djoker slam” in 2015 really turned me on to him. And I love how he mentally approached th game. I see him as the best. I think Roger racked up too many weak era slams and he only has 1 FO so for me, objectivity it’s Novak as the GOAT. Meddy played great today, but Nole just gave away the first set. After the match Med said he was almost done after the third set, which says Novak out enduranced a guy 10 years younger and who played the equivalent of two less matches due to his favorable draw. Pretty amazing from Nole. He fell just short. He is simply incredible.

And I should add, consensus now is Nole is the GOAT. Not Roger or Rafa.

Nerves got to Nole. He double faulted to start the match. And was broken in the first game due to UE. That changed everything. We will see how these two do at the AO next year. My money would be on Nole.

All credit to Djokovic for another championship. But, I found it hard to root for either him or Krygios yesterday. Krygios was especially annoying. He mine as well have spit on Kate Middleton with the way he behaved during his consolation prize acceptance. No acknowlegement and wearing that red hat. That isn't even getting into his behavior during the match. Yeesh.
