Wimbley has a mentor in McGinest
By Jeff Walcoff, Staff Writer
July 2, 2006

The Browns placed a lot of faith in Kamerion Wimbley when they picked the 22-year-old from Florida State 13th overall at the 2006 NFL Draft.

It's not often a team picks a player so early in the selection process who will be asked to change positions at the onset of his career. But, with the 3-4 defense becoming more popular around the NFL, and the need for big, athletic outside linebackers in the system, these sorts of requests are becoming more prevalent.

The best tweener to ever play the game is showing our tweener the ropes. I mean if McGinest had to learn by himself imagine how good Wimbley is going to be having that endless knowledge in McGinest around.

From all accounts I hear that Wimbley is one of those guys you tell to do something and he gets it done the first time the right way. He is very humble and isn't above taking an earfull of criticism so long as he learns from it.

Intelligence humilty a mean streak and Willie McGinest as a tutor have all the makings of a perennial Pro Bowler
