old news - no longer true

as reported on RealGM

http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/36549/20050708/hughes_to_cavaliers_premature/

While NBADraft.net is reporting that Wizards forward Larry Hughes' move to the Cleveland Cavaliers is all but done, Akron Beacon Journal writer Brian Windhorst has a different view.

While Windhorst confirms that Hughes and the Cavaliers are talking, it appears that any deal is far from done.

Edit: I changed the title of the thread to avoid confusion since this article predated the confirmation he agreed to terms with the cavs - perhaps the thread should be locked?

sigh.....what a let down he better come here...grr

I told you, he is jjust tryion to get more money from the Wizards.

He is loved in DC, why would he wanna leave Arenas and Jamison? I mean after all these years of having a sucky team in DC, we finally get the right players together and then he goes and leaves? I just dont understand. Alot of people will be very upset around here.

The Wizards lowballed him.

He had a great season and they only offered him 6-8 mil per season in the starting year.

The Cavaliers swooped in and took advantage of Washington's stupidity.

It says he is going in another direction......playing second fiddle behind LeBron? He was a leader on the Wizards. Im appauled.

Crap, Im really confused now.

Feeling pretty salty right about now I bet..

Washington really messed up. You dont give a guy who had a breakout year which included defensive team honours a contract starting around 6-8 million. They lost his respect right there.

It's funny how someone makes bold statements only to get hit by reality later. Ah the irony of free agency.
