Germany went from defending champs to last in their group
Yeah, really wanted to see Mexico out of the cup. The Germans just didn't play well. There was no reason to lose to an inferior Korean team.

England Belgium playing with a seemingly easier road to the final for whichever team loses. I don't think we'll see any London 2012 badminton shenanigans from the players, but possibly some "questionable" personnel decisions by the managers?

There is no question that finshing 2nd in this group is an easier path through the knockouts. I'd be stunned to see either team attack much. Yes, resting key players would be a strong possibility in this one as well.

I got

Portugal
France
Brazil
Belgium

Spain
Croatia
Switzerland
Colombia

My lord that dude M'Bappe runs a like a damn deer.

This match has seen periods of phenomenal play for both teams. Argentina has been the b better team for the past 25ish minutes and has two goals out of it.

2-2. I am loving this!

Vive la France!

MBAPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Argentina gave up when it went to 4-2 and got that 3rd goal too late. Kills Messi's argument for GOAT though imo, you just have to win something at the international level and he hasn't

Really hoping Ronaldo doesn't win today, hopefully Suarez can take a bit out of him

I haven't watched a ton of matches this Cup, but it seemed odd...or just irregular... how much the ref let the players play on in the Portugal-Uruguay match.

I mean, the players flop a lot, but there were some real hard tackles and contact with nothing called.

Has that been a theme this cup?

Not at all the refs have been very good for the most part of the cup
Letting players play but giving fouls and cards when necessary
This ref was god awful, and I must say the pitch was absolutely trash as well

Happy Ronaldo is out tho :02.47 tranquillity:
Cavani had a GAME, hope he is ok

That PSG attack is officially bonkers. Mbappe breaking out like a Star, Paris is gonna be unstoppable next year.
