World Cup - Moscow Edition

Is tackling just expected on set pieces? Otherwise, how does Spain not get a penalty kick there at the end?

Hope this ends the Tiki Taka once and for all. All possession and no end result.

Spain's lack of pace and urgency was disappointing. It made the match very difficult to watch. Plus, they allowed an inferior Russian team to take it to penalty kicks and beat them. Too bad for them. The draw was not that difficult and they should've been able to make a good run in the tournament.

Commentators said you could've called fouls on both sides.

I'm really happy for the 'Ics. Croatia is a talented team.

What a game.... that was right behind Game 7 for me in terms of anxiety

Croatia in the Finals?
Russia looks good as does England. Same with Colombia if James is healthy.

I think Croatia has a legitimate shot. James looks like he won't get healthy, Russia is great as a team but are beatable, which leaves England is their biggest rival. If James is healthy then I pick Colombia; if not, though, I think it is a toss-up between England and Croatia.

While the draw favour's Spain and they should have won, the way they played even in the round of 32, it felt like they were not sharp enough. That world cup winning team though ? They were more clinical.
