Guess they want a half empty arena on a weekday game vs a garbage team during bad weather…….

You can now list your tickets 50% face below face (used to be 70%)…but still have all the crazy fees…..

WTF

They said they will activate bidding on a game by game basis

Where did you hear that?

Sounds like greed to me
I mean, it's definitely greed. But I suppose that's kinda what business is. Not awesome for people looking for cheap tickets that's for sure. They said it in an email to season ticket holders.

Not awesome for people looking for cheap tickets….not awesome for season ticket holders who will have a good chance of getting stuck with them….i hate this

The site still accepts bids though. Are they not seen by the seller? This does suck. I used flash seats all the time. If you cannot bid I'd think the ticket holder is going to lose a lot of money. It should be up to the seller to accept whatever amount they want. Some is better than none.

Stereo - As a ticket holder how do you feel about the change?

I tweeted at them and they asked for my contact info. I'll update hear once the contact me.

I dunno. We'll see I guess.

On one hand, the point that people might get "stuck" with the tickets is a reasonable thought.

Although at the same time, I feel like a huge portion of people wanting to go to games would resist buying at a "Buy It Now" price assuming someone would take a bottom of the barrel bid at the last minute. (I'd get bids for $5, $10. I'm never selling tickets to a rando for $5. I'd rather give them to a friend)

So this might encourage people to "buy it now" more often, and might also encourage sellers to start asking more reasonable prices.

Guess we'll see how it goes though.

Now the games they do allow bidding (like this Saturday)..it won't let you bid less than 50% of the ticket cost…I hate this and is wasting a lot of time!!!!!!

Why is it bad, you still can get a ticket for up to half off.

Because you use to be able to bid whatever you wanted to (below 50%) and now if you don't bid at or above the 50% it tells you have to meet that…i don't have all the sections/prices memorized…its a huge pain in the ass and totally greedy

I think it is fair. The only reason you could. It tickets so cheap is becuase flash seats is the only where season ticket holders can sell them. The Cavs had two options, either open up the ability to sell anywhere, or fond away to protect the season ticket holders.
