WWE Network Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
My main problem with Triple H is that he never truly stood out for me. He just seemed average across the board. But I'm probably seeing him through The Rock colored lenses. H put on some amazing matches at Wrestlemania recently with Taker (join the club). But throughout the Attitude Era he was behind Rocky and SCSA and I grew out of watching shortly before SCSA retired so I never got a chance to see H carry the company.

From his recent documentary it seems like H is a genius when it comes to ring knowledge and again according to the documentary he's as passionate as they come for pro wrestling and training new talent. Three things I find admirable in a guy destined to run the biggest wrestling company in the world.

Yeah he was always behind them in popularity to be sure, but I thought he was much better in-ring than Austin, and comparable to The Rock. The one thing he could never quite match was their mic presence (not that he was bad...just not great), though, which is presumably why he went heel and pretty much stayed there. I just always liked him because I thought he was a good in-ring guy. His matches were pretty much always good and he was never opposed to taking a beating. I can't remember which match it was (I think either the Cactus Jack retirement match or a HitC against Kevin Nash), but I don't think I've ever seen a guy bleed more in a match than Triple H did. His entire head was totally covered in blood when it ended.

I get why people don't like him because of his behind-the-scenes involvement, but I care more about the in-ring ability, especially when I'm going back and watching matches without seeing the full storylines play out.

After watching these WCW guys like Luger, Sting, Nash, Hall, Hogan, Savage etc etc I have a new appreciation for Cena. He is a gazelle compared to WCWs top guys. Plus it's obvious these WCWers mail it in for a paycheck

Cena is more athletic, but he uses about as many moves as Hogan does. :chuckles:

H was good not great. But he had better matches than Rocky and SCSA. He just lacked the charisma that launched them to the stratosphere.

I know Cena has his 5 moves of doom. But watching these WCW guys plod around the ring botching moves and non selling punches makes Cena look like a Dolph Ziggler with his selling and effort.

By the way. Dean Malenko > all

What's everyone's thoughts on the network so far? I got a buddy who bought it while I was at his house on Saturday and I was pumped for a Rock or Stone Cold match. We couldn't even find one and it seemed like the searching for matches was terrible!! I talked to him and he said it was way better on his phone. Were we in the wrong place or does it need updated or anything? Is he the only one going through this?

I recommend the Legends of Wrestling shows, great roundtable discussions with some wrestlers from the past along with JR and a Mean Gene

What were you watching it on? They've been trying to fix the 360 app since it was released. I just plug my laptop into my tv and watch it that way, everything works perfectly.

I wish they had the option to watch the PPV's minus entrances/promos or both. It would be a lot shorter and you could get rid of insignificant stuff. Of course if there's an attack on the entrance, they shouldn't let you cut it out for that particular match. Also a skip match button would be nice.

Yeah a skip match button or an easier way to watch a select match from a certain PPV would be nice. Last week before Mania I wanted to watch a few select Mania matches like the TLC from 17 but had to fast forward through the whole PPV just to watch that match. Sometimes searching for the wrestler will bring up a single match to watch but most of the time just the whole PPV.

They have the little bookmarks for each individual match on the ppv. It's not perfect, but it works pretty well if you don't want to watch the whole thing.

How do you move to different ones? I've yet to even see what you're talking about, but I stream on the xbox 360

Might not be available on the xbox, I have hardly used my xbox to stream due to the fact that it's so much better when I run it through my lap top.

They are little bubbles that pop up on the progress bar. They mark the beginnings/ends of matches (unless Benoit was involved, then it's not marked)

It would be nice if you could rate the PPV's and they made a list of top 50 fan rated PPV's.

yeah I don't think they have that on the app on XBOX or Apple TV which are the two devices I use for the network.

I can confirm they have the bubbles on the PS4. I think it also depends which PPV you want to watch. Not every PPV has them for me, but I assume that's something they will continue to add over time.

I've only watched a handful of WCW PPV's and Benoit was in all of them. That might have something to do with it not having bubbles?

I've watched PPVs that he was definitely not a part of that didn't have bubbles. I think it's just very much a work in progress with getting all the matches marked. I think that the WWE (wisely) figured having more events on there ASAP was more important than going through and marking each one, which could easily be done later.
