Yeah, the main problem with the Fiend was that they botched the whole angle with his Hell in a Cell match against Rollins. The Fiend was wildly over at the time and they needed to have him murder Rollins. Instead, they inexplicably ended a no DQ match with a referee decision, the crowd shit all over it, and the gimmick was more or less dead in the water after that because they kept refusing to commit to the Fiend.
Yeah that was a mistake. He bounced back fairly well on Smackdown throughout the covid era....
Well I started writing this out and began thinking about it. His strap match with DBry wasn't during covid.
Funhouse Match with Cena was an instant classic.
His fued with Braun was aiight. Crappy swamp match. But I liked the weekly shows.
I barely remember the match v Bray when Roman returned and then the 3way afterwards... I think I'm partial to those matches because of Roman's new look (Beef Flavored Roman Noodles) and his new character direction.
The Funhouse segments are usually a hit.
But yeah, I see your point. Besides his character and the Funhouses... Brays matches have been wet butt cheeks.
