WWE/NXT/AEW/NJPW Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Fuck yes. More Takeshita on my tv is good for business.
He’s got the chance to be the next big Asian wrestling star in America. Insane athlete, good in the ring

His issue and my issue with AEW roster in general is he isn’t a character. Plenty of in ring charisma but what is his next step?

I'm not exactly sure who you're referring to regarding the rest of the AEW roster, but we just really haven't gotten the chance to know Takeshita yet. He's only been over here for special appearances.

As we see him more and hear from him, we'll surely find out what makes him tick.

He’s had like 5 matches bro.

Definitely been more exhibition matches with no emphasis on even trying to establish a character so hopefully they got something for him.

I’m referring to wrestlers whose whole gimmick is that they are a good wrestler. I want more La Knights, more Luchasaurus, more larger than life characters. AEW barely has any.

I feel like you’re agreeing with me.

I just said that we haven’t had much exposure to him yet.

Zero hour was a lot of fun.

Opening match was the definition of fun, and we got the debut of Very Evil Danhausen.

Ricky Starks won an exciting match with Brian Cage.

Eddie Kingston beat Akiyama in a real slapper.

Fenix used the hammer! Death Triangle retains!

Between that match and the cage match opener, we’re off to an incredible start.

Crowd chanting fuck you Moxley during this main event, crazy

I do think he needs a multi month break though, he’s been stale

What a show

I take back what i said esrlier
The stories were on point and most had amazing blow offs.

Only result i didn’t like personally was LuchaS losing. I thought LS needed that win more than Jungle Boy but storyline wise Jungle Boy had to win to establish his character.

Sting is the GOAT

The women brought it today

MJF should’ve been champ last year but getting Regal involved was genius by Tony Khan.

Jungle Jack hadn’t won a match in like six months. He couldn’t lose the blow off match to their feud, too.

Sting/Jarrett giving me all the TNA feels lol loved it.

A lot of surprises tonight, for sure. I thought Regal might help MJF, but they did a good job of selling me on a lot of possible finishes for that match. Definitely thought the firm would get involved.

Only thing I wish they did was give the Acclaimed a clean win, and just have Swerve and Lee shenanigans happen after.

Other than that, I was worried about it being another long PPV. AEW did a great job of pacing it out. Can't wait for the best of 7, think they are just starting with Wardlow/Joe/Hobbs, and if Hayter will be a long champ.
