WWE/NXT/AEW/NJPW Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So i am pretty invested in Rock VS Roman at Mania happening because i simply do not see another route they are going with this.

Now the way the storyline is playing out I’m starting to believe HHH is thinking about Zayn VS Roman.

One match is obviously the big money match you want but Zayn VS Roman would be insane too. The fans would lose their minds if this is how Sami wins his 1st world title in WWE. I only fear that that match and result would be more for the moment and that WWE would have nothing for Sami as champ and they’d immediately pivot to Drew or back to Roman the Raw after Mania.

I honestly have no idea what WWE is thinking. I’m pretty sure they want Cena VS Theory for the US title and I’m pretty sure there are at least talks for Cody to win the rumble but is he the guy you want against Roman? I almost say split the world belts back up before Mania.

I'd love Zayn vs Roman but I think it's going to be Sami/KO vs the Usos. I can see Solo getting a title as well and then having Wrestlemania be where all their titles are lost. Theory vs Cena is something I'd like to see. And I'd also like Ronda to not be around at that point.

What i WANT at Mania is 2 world title matches one for each night

Roman Vs Rock for the World Heavyweight Championship

Then maybe rebrand the Universal title as the world title more focused on match quality and have a guy like Owens or Gunther hold that one and face Cody Rhodes

Cena Vs Theory for the US title in a pass the torch match is sweet

Have Rollins battle for the IC belt against a guy like Kross

Tag belts imperium vs Usos Vs Profits Vs Viking Raiders. Honestly get as many teams in this match and make this your spectacle ladder match. The only real story in the tag division is the possibility of Sami and KO VS USOs but i feel like the PPV takes us further away from that match than closer to it.

Bianca VS Charolette(royal rumble winner)
Ronda Vs Shayna

Honestly wouldn’t be against there only being one women’s belt. Bianca is just on another level and it’s hard finding her opponent.

I think they should have Owens win at the Rumble for the title.

Sami wins Rumble. Roman expects Sami to hand over his title shot. Sami declines, beat down ensues.

Sami defends his title shot against Roman at EC where he wins when The Rock interferes.

Sets up Sami/Owens for the title and Rock/Reigns for tribal chief.

Also, give me Cena vs Gunther at Mania for the IC title (only title Cena has never held).

Is Rock even in shape to wrestle? Dude's fifty and hasn't worked a real match in a decade, and he got injured in that one. The glamour muscle he puts on for his movies is a far cry from ring shape.

Note that I'm not counting that joke of a match where he buried Rowan at Wrestlemania. He didn't have to do shit in that one except deliver a Rock Bottom.

It's not *that* hard to do a smoke and mirrors match.

Steve Austin at age 57 and coming off a 19-year layoff just worked a 14-minute match and it was totally fine.

I think it might be difficult when it's the main event of Wrestlemania. Taker was so terrible by the end that they basically had to film a movie for him to have a match that wasn't dog shit.

He’s gotten injured literally every match he’s had since the 1st Match with Cena. I am also pretending as if the Rowan match never happened.

In Rocks defense i think if he did come back for Roman i think that story would require a real match. You can’t be fighting over the head of the table spot and do a BS match like Stone Cold did.

Speaking of Steve Austin he has been training pretty hard per his social media. Wouldn’t put it past WWE to try and get Rock and him back for one last mania. A lot of the dirt sheets have been throwing around a Cena VS Stone Cold match idea. If Steve does do one more match Rollins is really the only guy i want working with him unless La Knight has no plans.

If anyone is watching RAW a small synopsis would be appreciated. I cannot catch the show this week.

This show should be hot because it’s a period where HHH is likely starting his initial plans for mania.

It’s officially Wrestlemania season baby

Addition: I apologize for my stupidity. Raw is on Mondays and idc about NXT besides Dijak so can anyone tell me what they have Dijak doing?

This segment is one of the greatest ever. Right there behind the ranks of Austin and Tyson as far as great story telling goes. MJF is solid gold. Dude just went to nuclear heat.

And damn do I love Tony calling this kinda stuff. He made me feel that.

Good segment, but they're in a tough spot with Max.

The crowd just doesn't want to boo him.

The industry is mostly ruined in that the only real heel heat is go away heat. When people boo, they're booing booking and not the character.

And Max is so entertaining, that even when he does the most vile, disgusting things like throw gum at a little girl or blast Regal in the back of the head, he's just getting tepidly booed and some folks are even cheering and chanting "you deserved it".

I don't think he needs to win the rumble and take away someone's potential shine. All Rock has to do is show up and we got ourselves a huge match.

Don’t play with me WWE

Reading some of those Twitter comments and i guess the big argument is who wins the rumble? Cody or Rock? Personally there’s no use wasting a win on Rock. Everyone knows he gets a shot if he comes back.

So storyline wise this segment was great character prgeession

I actually hated the promo and feel MJF would’ve been helped by someone giving him a guideline here. He talked about Mox, wwe, Regal and like 2 other topics here and to me the promo dragged and was all over the place. The ending popped me. I did not think he’d turn on Regal that fast and actually felt the turn did his character good and drove him that he’s the new “Devil”. The last line was brilliant. It was cliche’ repeating something from before but i liked it because i could 100% see a real person holding that grudge and giving that line after slumping Regal.

There's only 3 options to win the Rumble, right?

The Rock
Cody Rhodes
Sami Zayn
