WWE/NXT/AEW/NJPW Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I didn’t watch, but Britt is sort of Cleveland royalty. Was it sloppy on her?

Didn’t think it was that sloppy, just not as fluid a match as others on the card. Right result, Toni pinning Britt clean.

If Paige can wrestle, and they sure presented her like she will, it’s the biggest acquisition possible for the women’s division outside of landing Sasha. She’s a big star with a loyal fan base and will immediately be the best promo in the division. They have a real chance to elevate the division now, especially if that rumored AEW women’s show comes to fruition. Time for TK to show he can book it properly. They have the talent.

Whew baby if this comes to fruition, I give it 6 months tops before that show is overhauled/restructured.

Missing some people yesterday due to the hurricane, but there was still some excellent stuff on last night’s show.

Bandido and Juice Robinson were excellent additions to the card, especially Bandido.

The JAS/Garcia stuff is great. I couldn’t stop laughing when Luigi Primo took that shot from Garcia and promptly died for the rest of the segment.

Saraya’s promo sucked butt though, in my opinion

I am more upset that Saraya has seemingly stalled Hayter's momentum. At least the crowd reminded Tony Khan who we want to see in the title chase.

Gotta love Philly wrasslin' crowds.

Bandido and Juice was awesome. Jericho continuing to have great matches too.

Not a fan of the constant trying to rip wwe though. They need to focus on making AEW.

For the AIW notice up top, Fite+ is 4.99 a month. AIW is streaming with them moving forward. Usually 1-2 shows a month on average.

I will say there's some sort of hilarious meta shit going on with Chris Jericho shifting his character into "I'm going to destroy Ring of Honor's legacy as a pure pro wrestling company because I'm the ultimate sports entertainer!" while also subsequently putting on good pro wrestling matches at the same time.

It's almost like a satire, in a good way.

Jericho has to have one of the most impressive careers ever. Dude reinvents himself constantly and it basically always works. He made that stupid best friends gimmick with Owens work. He made a fucking list the most over thing on Raw. It’s ridiculous.

All this and still putting on bangers in the ring when he has to. That main event had no business being that good of a match. Kudos to Bandido as well. He earned that contract.

AEW ticket sales are really struggling right now

From Dave Meltzer

“10/18 for the Tuesday night show in Cincinnati with Jon Moxley vs. Adam Page is at 3,053 at the Heritage Bank Center which is not good.”

“10/21 Rampage in Jacksonville is at 2,250. 10/26 in Norfolk is at 2,217, way down from the last show. 10/28 in Uncasville, CT at the Mohegan Sun Casino is at 3,768. 11/2 in Baltimore is at 1,525, which shocks me for that market. 11/4 in Atlantic City, NJ, is at 776, which is brutal, especially since they did 5,500 paid and 5,900 in the building in February in the same arena.

“11/9 in Boston is at 2,322, about half of what it was in the same building last time they were there and Boston has sold out every prior AEW show very quickly.”

They are burning out the territory, quite frankly. Thankfully, they are coming to Seattle to start 2023 and the rumor is Revolution in San Fran. Crossing my fingers because I’d really love for them to swing through Portland.

Hoping for more live Rampages in 2023 as well.

Not only that, but they’ve suspended a large chunk of their big draws.
