The most overrated “wrestler” ever. He’d kick my ass, but I’d probably punch him in the face if I ever saw him in public.

His in ring work left a little to be desired. But he was more than a "wrestler".

I mean given the time he was with WWE I'd say he was one of the better in-ring guys in the company.

But the bulk of the roster was trash at that time. Outside of Daniel Bryan (don't recall exactly when he joined), I'm not sure anyone from Punk's time in WWE would even make the top fifteen with regards to in-ring work now. They have a good chunk of the best workers in the world right now. Sadly, only NXT seems to understand how to use any of them.

He was the tallest guy in a sinking ship when it came to "work rate".. but he told great stories in the ring. His matches speak for themselves. MITB with Cena, Wrestlemania with Taker, Summerslam with Brock and I think it was Extreme Rules with Jericho.. the Street Fight.. he got GREAT matches out of Cena and Lesnar, which was a rarity at the time (still with Brock).. and the stories they told in those 4 matches were amazing.

The frustrating thing with Brock is that he's fully capable of great matches, like when he had that awesome match with Goldberg that everyone expected to be a train wreck. The problem is that he only wrestles a handful of times a year and he usually phones in his performances. When he wants to, he can deliver a banger, though.

Agree completely. He can put on great matches. If they're not going to force him to wrestle like he can. They need to put him in squash matches like V John Cena. Just a 10 minute squash annihilation of his opponents. No more Suplex, Superman punch, spear, suplex F5 F5 superman punch superman punch spear. 1, 2, 3

His match with Daniel Bryan recently was really good too. And yeah, Brock needs to be booked like the monster that he is. His matches either need to be short and sweet and filled with constant big spots like the Goldberg match or they need to him being the monster to get over an underdog like in the Bryan match.

When does XFL start? It's time for Vince to step away. Haitch, I think, has a grasp on what the fans want and trusts his talent to perform to the best of the abilities. NXT consistently churns out great in ring product, as well as compelling stories and characters. Hopefully Haitch will be given the keys to the kingdom when XFL is in full swing.

I haven't see the second episode since NXT moved to two hours, but the first one was great. I loved that they brought over Imperium from NXT UK and I really hope War Games this year is Imperium versus Undisputed Era.

Watched the first half. Havent finished it. I havent been following WWE much since Wrestlemania. Just been down on the product. Started watching again recently. The Fiend has me intrigued, Really REALLY enjoy his Vignettes with his Fun House. That is great. Raw and Smackdown were pretty good the last few weeks. Seems like a HHH production with the emphasis on the women's wrestling.

Got sidetracked lol. Long explanation about why I havent been watching and that's because NXT has such a turnover where I mark out hugely for their talent, then in three months they're being buried on main roster. I like the inring performer, but am hesitant to invest a lot of time in NXT especially after I get burned out on wrestling like I was the last 6 months or so

I don't really watch the main roster at all any more. I haven't watched the last few PPVs and zero Raw or Smackdown. I did check out the Fiend versus Balor, which was fun. And his entrance was awesome. I agree he's about the best thing going for the main roster. Hopefully they put the title on him at the next PPV.

I don't always watch weekly NXT since I don't have the Network. But I've watched every Takeover going back to when Kevin Owens debuted and they've all been good to great. Really, the last two years or so they've been entirely great. The hot streak they are on right now is insane. Literally not a single bad Takeover in like five years.

Yeah Takeovers are can't miss wrestling. But I just recently rewatched the Owen's Zayn match at Takeover Rivals (I think) .. the one where KO TKOd Zayn for the belt 2 months after his debut. Zayn was WHITE HOT with that crowd. KO too in NXT... then moved to Main and shit on. Granted they've been on main for like 4 years and they're receiving a check and merch royalties and all that.. but Zayn is Exhibit A on evidence of how quickly Vince and co can ruin talent. Fan favorite underdog who can put on great matches and tell amazing stories turned into a comedic performance mid carder

Hard to blame Owens for taking the money, though. Dude's a millionaire now and still in his mid-thirties. Plus, he might actually benefit from better booking now that Vince is getting scared of AEW and being forced to push guys he didn't want to prior.
