WWE/NXT/AEW/NJPW Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't understand what you mean

Just that I didn't like the idea of waiting on either the filming or presentation.

Too many things can happen along the way; even with this Wrestlemania having already been filmed, anything can happen to Summerslam at this point with the way things have been looking, so no sense in waiting for it, even though taping for Wrestlemania went fine.

Was just looking at some match records on profightdb

Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn have really gotten a bad shake. They've been put in terrible positions to have good matches.

Rollins won the title at WM35 and then we got a one-off with AJ Styles that was a great match-up. After that, he went into a program with Baron Corbin (sucks), had a quick thing with Lesnar again (actually had a really good match at Summerslam), but then went into programs with Strowman and The Fiend.

As for Zayn, he hasn't been as active over the last year (healing up from shoulder injuries I presume), but before that his most recent singles matches on PPV were with Lashley, Strowman, and Baron Corbin. He had a great feud with Owens that culminated at Battleground '16 with him winning, and they went nowhere with it!

Corbin is basically a career killer. It's impossible to get over going against him because no one gives a shit about him. They don't like him, but not enough to want to watch him get beat like all the great heels in wrestling history.

With Zayn, I think he's one of the best wrestlers in the world and it's a damn shame that WWE hasn't done anything with him.

The Fiend and Cena segment was cool. Those edits and ability to transport Bray is why I'm excited about the WWE pretaping these matches. Man this could be awesome

I thought it started to pick up with the Zayn/Bryan match

First few matches were tough

This show puts everything WWE/WWF has ever been straight to shame.

Vince could've dominated the Summer by having Wrestlemania and Summerslam.

Wrestlemania is more than this collected trash. It's the large stadium, the lights, the stage, the 70k fans, this is a joke.

That match was dumb as fuck but also hilariously awesome.

I'm a tune into wrestlemania and thats pretty much it for me in terms of wrestling anymore and I did that this year especially because live events in general are pretty rare right now. I tried watching the PC matches but I tuned out cause most of them were unwatchable, and I assume that your talking about the Taker/AJ match... because the cheese from that match was off the charts, but was also awesome. Its was like the very definition of a male soap opera but it had me laughing way more often then it had any right too. They honestly should have found a way to do most of the matches like that because it seemed to play a lot better then the empty arena 1 (ceiling) fan matches.

I enjoyed everything starting with Zayn/Bryan

Rollins/Owens was really good

It wasn't the same, nor should we have expected it to be, but at least it was entertaining.

I've never been in a wrestling ring in my life. But I feel like I could have a better match with Braun than Goldberg did and I know I'd have more offense than the spear. Wtf. Goldberg has been in the business for more than 20 years.... and that shows how much he cares about the business and how seriously he takes it.

Taker/AJ was hokey and fun and what I hoped more of the matches would have been like. Filmed/edited movie like set. Maybe they didnt have the time to do that for the rest. But I imagine Fiend/Cena and I hope Randy/Edge have the same creative feel to the matches.

KO and Seth was really cool. Saw a few head shots with that bell. Was thinking that was a gimmick ring bell so there was no threat of a concussion. The empty arena played well into their match because they are both good talkers and it played into the story.

The guys capable of talking throughout their matches were the guys that really shined. That was especially apparent in the Rollins/KO match.

Is it possible to get a contact acid high from a TV segment because I'm pretty sure that Cena/Wyatt "match" gave me one. That was complete bonkers and I enjoyed it immensely and I didn't really have a rooting interest either cause again this is like my 1 ppv a year, if they don't embrace the "cinematic experience" after this and the Taker match they are truly missing out.

I loved the Firefly Funhouse..... skit? It was funny and entertaining as hell. I am and have always been a Bray mark so my opinion may be slanted.

Wwe struck gold with the FFH match and the Boneyard. As puppet Vince would say. Such good shit

Those are two things we will look back on and say they changed wrestling for the better. Creative and flat out wild shit that wrestling fans love.

Do more of that stuff.
