WWE/NXT/AEW/NJPW Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Nia hasn't gotten any better either which tells me that it just simply isn't clicking or she doesn't care. I guess it is tough to fire The Rock's cousin.

She's just not an athlete. And it's not because she's fat. Kevin Owens is the person who got me back into wrestling, and he's a fat dude. Nia's huge, but she has no strength. She also can't move quickly, which is kind of important when you're pretend fighting. Asuka's basically the only woman who was able to drag a good match out of her, and that was still one of Asuka's worst NXT matches.

They need to just cut bait with Nia. She is absolute trash and just keeps hurting people. Raquel Gonzalez is who they want Nia to be. She's an actual believable monster heel who can perform in the ring because she's an actual athlete. She was really impressive last night. I know she was going against one of the best wrestlers in the entire world, but she held her own, and that was really cool to see. She's got a bright future because I don't believe there are any other female wrestlers who have a combination of her size and actual ability. Most taller female wrestlers just end up being lumbering pieces of shit like Tamina.
Oh I agree 100% but I did like her fued with Alexa Bliss mostly because of Alexa and I think Nia has some good comedic chops occasionally.

Sasha is my fave wrestler and she's fairly nimble and a great seller. But I get worried everytime I see her in Nia's vicinity

Devlin and Escobar are going for it.
On Peacock? I'm not seeing it on USA. I'll have to catch up on it. I have a Fire TV in my bedroom and it doesn't support Peacock. Neither does my Samsung TV. Good job Vince.

Kross does nothing for me. Happy he’s likely to be called up soon. Finn got a great match out of him at least.

His entrance is my favorite but his in ring work is meh for me. Maybe it's an issue with how they want him to come across and maybe he can do more. But I dont like the way they book him

I'll quote myself because why not...

He's being booked like Brock post return. Brock can and should do more than he does but idk if it's his choice or Paul/Vince who want him to do a very limited moveset based primarily on suplexes because they want him to be intimidating rather than impressive

I do think he's packaged perfectly (although was not a fan of his "Gladiator extra #2" outfit last night) and he is a good promo but he just is a bad fit for NXT. The NXT Championship to me represents the ultimate worker's belt and Kross just doesn't hack it in the ring. I do think he's perfect for Raw or SD where he can lean into the story more.

Brock can be booked like Brock because he is absolutely dynamite in the ring when he wants to be. He's earned it. Kross hasn't. I just think he's Vince's next diaper dandy heel waiting in wake because of his look. I probably would actually even enjoy him on the main roster. I just feel him getting the NXT championship is a temporary thing to build him more before he is called up. Not sure if this leads to a KOR vs. Kross but if that's the case, I am hear for it.

The one positive thing out of Finn losing is that it might get us closer to Balor vs. Walter which was planned before the pandemic.

Do you guys tune into AEW? Now that I've been watching for a year curious to other's thoughts. I think it's very inconsistent but when it hits, it's excellent. With that said, I am pretty burnt out by their current main event scene with the bullet club mid-life crisis taking center stage each week.

They're doing a lot right and a lot wrong at the same time, but I think they're doing a good job of appealing to their fanbase while expanding it by bringing in nostalgia names like Sting, Wight, Shaq, Mike Tyson, etc.

I like MJF and what he's done with Cody and Jericho. I like Omega, but not a huge fan of what they've done with him recently. I can't really bring myself to tune into the show. Not entirely sure why it doesn't grab me.

Regarding NXT, I love Adam Cole. He's probably the only guy that I always make sure I see his matches. I also don't get the appeal of Karrion Kross and why he's a big deal.

I do like how they bring in random celebrities to appeal to a broader audience. It has that 90s WCW feel to it where it's tougher to predict, leans a bit more carney which makes it feel more vibrant? (not sure that is the right word) than NXT. I think I prefer NXT overall though.

With that said, I think AEW has some of the best younger talent across all promotions. Guys like MJF, Rey Fenix, Ricky Starks, Darby Allin, etc. feel like they could be legitimate stars compared to WWE's tired retread of the same guys over and over.

I am also convinced that Rey Fenix could have a match with a stick and I would still enjoy it. That guy is so damn talented.

The King just said that Cesare has always been great and the company has known it for a long time but the fans are finally getting behind him.

I think he has the roles reversed.

Also the Peacock app is hot butt cheeks
