WWE/NXT/AEW/NJPW Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Anyone watching the G1? I'm through night four and it's been really good. I'm skipping all the opening tag matches and just watching the tournament ones to shave some time.

Ospreay has been killing it. He's a MOTY threat every night he's out there.

Moxley has been really fun too. He brings a different vibe to the tournament. Loved his match with Taichi. Can't wait to see him go up against some of the other guys in that block like Ishii and Naito. Also looking forward to his match with Toru Yano. That should be hilarious.

KENTA has been another standout. It's sad WWE never let him work like this. It looks like it would suck to wrestle against him. He just kicks the living shit out of people.

Gonna catch up on nights five and six over the weekend.

How are you feeling about AEW?

How are you feeling about AEW?

I think the shows they have done have been good (I've skipped all of the pre-shows from AEW) to great. I like that they actually give a fuck about tag wrestling. I haven't watched Raw or Smackdown in months and certainly wouldn't mind a good weekly wrestling show, which I feel like we haven't had since Lucha Underground went under.

It is cool seeing former Lucha Underground stars succeed elsewhere, though. Sami Calihan is tearing up Impact along with Cage. Killshot is in NXT. Ricochet is killing it in WWE. The Lucha Bros are in AEW along with Evans and Angelico. The monster Matanza is wrestling in the G1. Lot of talent went through LU.

You had me until Sami Callihan.

Guy sucks.

Skipping the preshow is a wise decision. Shit just plain sucks most of the time

Yeah, AEW just doesn't have a deep enough roster to fill out a full card right now. I think they'll be fine in a year or two once they've grabbed a few more WWE guys that jump ship, but as of now they're really thin on depth.

Their tag team division is awesome, though.

Yeah man, I like the Lucha Bros, SCU, and Jungle Boy/Luchasaurus. Private Party has serious potential. Young Bucks are entertaining.

I don't really care for any of the other teams though. They should do a breakup angle with Barreta and his partner, since he just looks like what would be a strong singles competitor paired with some dude lol.

I like the Smash Bros a lot. Don't remember what their new name is but when they debuted and did the throne of minions, I was cracking up. Also love their team up moves.

The Dark Order.

They are my favorite team, by far, in the division.

Taking out Goldberg and Lesnar in one night? Legend.

I just have to say, the SummerSlam card is outright embarrassing. What a terrible card for their second biggest show of the year. The only match that even remotely interests me is Styles/Ricochet.

Kofi/Orton too, loved the build up.

Man, the Fiend's entrance was great.

WWE will 100% fuck this up, but I'm along for the ride.
