WWE/NXT/AEW/NJPW Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hard to blame Owens for taking the money, though. Dude's a millionaire now and still in his mid-thirties. Plus, he might actually benefit from better booking now that Vince is getting scared of AEW and being forced to push guys he didn't want to prior.
If they can make NXT a legit standalone brand and lose the development stigma I'd like to see a lot a talent return and headline there

WWE and AEW both have my attention this week. I have only been checking NXT results lately, but with the season premieres, they have a chance to make a splash.

Am I crazy to think Seth drops the title tonight, adding in more to the story line for HIC? Bray being able to beat Seth and not put the strap on him just yet. Which he doesn’t and isn’t ready for.

I thought it odd they have Seth in a title match tonight. There's a chance he drops it so they can send him to headline the new "A" show.

DVRing AEW and watching NXT. Cole and Riddle brought the house down in the opening match. WWE truly thrives with competition. Then not to spoil anything but a Big WWE guy redebuted on NXT.

I had both running at the same time and enjoyed both for different reasons. Going forward though I'll probably watch AEW live and NXT at work.

Next week I'm definitely watching NXT because that Kushida/WALTER match is going to be fire.

I can't believe USA ran two PIP commercials during the Women's Championship match. Such garbage.

I found NXT to be the better show, but they're far more established, so that's to be expected. For their first TV show, AEW was amazing.

Lately NWA Power has my attention and it's been really engaging. I didn't grow up during the 80's, but the 80's aesthetic is beautiful and I love the short comedic bits they sprinkle during the show.

Investing 2 hours into NXT isn't as appealing to me and I'm kinda tired of the current roster. Ciampa, Gargano, Adam Cole, Dream and Shayna are excellent, but I feel it's time for new stars to rise. More Io Shirai please

AEW is getting kinda stale already. Very little promos, packages, or context. The in-ring action is fun and interesting, but the characters are missing. Nyla Rose should be champion. They need a midcard title. The matches just drag on way too long sometimes and there's kickouts to finishers in the first 30 minutes into the show.

I thought Paul Heyman could save Raw, but nope. Completely wrong, but I wanna assume Vince is still heavily involved. Raw and Smackdown are a waste of 5 hours

There are rumors that John Morrison may be making his WWE return tonight at WarGames and assuming the role of the mystery man on Team Ciampa.
That would be nice. I'm not against WWE using retreads to fulfill 2 hours of NXT each week as long as they maintain the stories and work rate NXT is known for. I don't want RAW lite..... been feeling like RAW Lite for the SS runup.

Morrison would be awesome in NXT. He's one of the better workers out there and he can work the mic.

Havent watched him since he was wished luck in his future endeavors.. but I was never impressed with his mic work in WWE. But that's not totally fair considering the WWEs history with scripting talent.

Local wrasslin fans.. been going to a local promotion named Absolute Intense Wrestling the last few months. Amazing shows. Last month was in Akron. Last night was in Brook Park. Dec 27 is their next show in Cleveland. Recommend you give them a look. Real good talent. I wont make it to this show, I'll be at Smackdown in Detroit. But check em out on FB. Alex Shelly (TNA) has been putting on a clinic with this promotion.
