He kept the board for the first few seconds after hitting it, but it just fell straight down and he kept going up and up and up...

I know he was trying to adjust but there was no way he was getting off the board without some pain..I would have kicked it out from under me and bailed way before the jump...hell to the no on hitting that ramp going that fast..

I watched yesterday [pre 40ft fall] and today and if the guys weren't landing under control going into the jump just right they would put on the breaks or kick the bike/board out of the way...

to me it looked like he was trying to get himself to the point where he would be able to just slide down the ramp but he somehow came to far forward.

That's one of those highlights that gets a draw-dropper everytime. I think they said the only reason he's alive is just that little curve in the ramp allowed him to take the fall on his whole body.

Still, 45 foot drop, he shouldn't be alive. Amazing.

Now that he's doing better...the 720 was nasty!
