Your 2019 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t this mean that he won’t be able to make another minor league rehab start?

Columbus in a sense may be in the playoffs down there, but yeah, he may only be able to make one start at most in the rehab so that’s not going to be a good thing to get him stretched back out into a starter. May have to do what the plan with Salazar was and finish stretching him out at the big league level. We also will be looking to cut down innings of guys like Plesac do down the stretch so you may see Kluber go 3-4, Plesac follow him etc. Now I don’t know if we can get him stretched back out again in time for the playoffs but he should be able to at least help.

Nova had another great start tonight against the Twins.

Twins won't fucking die though.

6-4 CWS in 9th w/ 2 out but tying run on 1B.

Sano coming to the plate.

The Twins schedule makes me want to puke. Next 12 games against the White Sox and Tigers, a 13 game stretch against them

I’m glad the White Sox opened up this stretch with a W. Truthfully if they go 8-5 over that stretch I’d call that a win

At least our schedules lightens up after the Mets series. A couple three game series against KC and Detroit. One at home too. It’s gonna be a close one this year.

Per powerrankingsguru:

SOS Played:
Indians 30th
Twins 29th

SOS Remaining:
Indians 28th
Twins 30th

Remaining Out of Division Games:
Indians: 15 - (3@NYM / 3@TBR / 3@LAA / 3 vs PHI / 3@WSN)
Twins: 6 - (3@BOS / 3 vs WSN)

The rest of the games are in the division with 6 head to head.

I'm not going to say we need to win all 6, but with what's left on the table, it wouldn't hurt.

Winning the remaining games against the Twins would be great, but I doubt that happens. Our remaining schedule is pretty easy as well so we just need to take care of business and keep winning series and hope it works out in our favor.

Should we just assume that Kluber isn’t returning this season with today’s news?

  1. Michael Brantley, HOU: 4.7
  2. Josh Donaldson, ATL: 4.0
  3. Gio Urshela, NYY: 3.4
  4. Edwin Encarnacion, NYY: 2.5

  30. Melky Cabrera, PIT: -1.3
Notes:
- Last I checked, Cody Allen was in the Twins minor league system but not on their 40-man. He could be in Siberia for all I know.
- Guys like Trevor Bauer and Brad Miller who played on the Indians this season are only having their WAR with their new team counted.
- Former Indian Lonnie Chisenhall is on the Pittsburgh Pirates but has missed the entire season thus far due to injury.
- Carlos Gonzalez and Mark Reynolds are both free agents, but have played in the majors in 2019.
- Cameron Maybin and Matt Joyce are both included since they were around in March/April of this season, despite not playing for the Indians during the regular season.

Hard to see how Kluber makes it back to the rotation this season. Tribe is likely in for a fight
to the finish for the Central title or a WC spot. 4 clubs playing it out for
three spots.

I hope for the best. I'm not so comfortable when the rotation goes past Clevinger
and Bieber.
