It's gotta suck to have to move on from the only job he has known since he was 16.

If one of the most important things in your life was taken away; something that has been there as long as you can remember... I doubt money brings much comfort.

I understand your point, but at the same time, it's a job. If you can't find other ways to make your life fulfilling, that's on you.

It's not just a job though; at least not in most cases. It's what they've been passionate about since they were a child. It was their dream come true.

I'm sure in time he'll take solace in the peaks he reached, but for now it's ok to be down, and it's ok to feel bad for him.

Pretty sure there’s been members here that have not so subtly hinted at Salazar not being that into baseball and part of the reason he is so slow in his rehabs

I frequent this section, obviously, and don't recall seeing anything like that. If you can find a post, I'd love to see it.

@mrWalrus @The Wizard of Moz I fail to see the humor in this, could one of you explain?
Imagine, regardless of skill or hardwork, having your career taken from you for reasons of affirmative action or because women are more important than you as a white male (because the industry you're in is 'progressive'). Imagine not having millions in the bank to wipe away your tears after the only industry you've ever known no longer wants you.

So yeah, it's funny to boo-hoo about a ball player with more money than any of the next ten posters in this thread will ever see in their life.

I really find it strange that, if something bad happens to someone, instead of being able to empathize that "bad situations are bad" people go "HEY! SOMEONE ELSE HAS IT WORSE!"

Same thing with the kid who gets extra credit, and someone else is upset that the kid got extra credit. Like, be happy that something good happened to someone--not slighted because the good didn't happen to you.

It's a mindset I just can't understand. It seems so stupid.

So you're saying a homeless man and a man with millions have it equally as bad?

Thanks for the knowledge.

2-11 vs A's and Rays could come back to hurt.

But would you guys be disappointed if the Indians don't make it? I'm not gonna damn them, they were dealt a stupid unfortunate hand unlike many others. The trade looked pretty good if Kluber and Jose was good on paper. I'm not gonna rip them apart, they deserve a pat on the ass to be honest for fighting like hell since game 1.

Yes.

This team should make the playoffs in some capacity every season with current makeup.
