Your 2019 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Believe me I've got nothing personal against Jose Ramirez and I've got nothing bad to say about who he is off the field. I started watching the Indians back in the mid 1990's when I was a small kid and I've been a big fan ever since. I just watch all the games and give my opinion.

Jose has been struggling for awhile now, and this season I just never bought into the idea and optimism that he's going to turn it around and be an All-Star again. He had a couple good games recently but I do not predict it will continue.

The take right before that post was a spicy meatball too.
Win it all with this lineup. You are still in Disney world with your perception of the talent level on this team. At the current reality the Tribe should feel lucky just to avoid third place in the division this year and next year. I expect that they are going to have trade Lindor at some point over the next year to 15 months. It is the right thing to do. The window is not there any more. Look with the right moves you could open up a new window by 2022 or 2023 more realistically. You can build around Bieber, pleasac and clevinger while you start breaking in everyday players over the next three years.

The writer isn’t wrong.

I actually disagree in a lot of ways, yes I feel we should have at least gotten like a Marwin Gonzalez in a sense and got a veteran setup man, but they really were working in the Red if we went and spent that much money in the off season (in their minds) and i get why they felt that way. To me to be able to win 93 games with all the injuries and issues they had was actually a really good job. Small market teams cannot just go out and sign guys for prices above their worth every single season if they want to stay contending long term.

Personally I feel like this team will be really good in 2020 and even though the Twins will be there and the Soxs will be better, they really will be a contender and bringing back almost the entire team that won 93 games (it took them 91 to win the division last season) with guys like Mercado, Plesac etc having the experience this season with young arms like Karinchak coming in and competing, this actually may be a 95-97 win team, if not more, next season. 2020 in my mind all the way was the year to win it all, and I think the FO was in the same mind set especially after the injuries, but they still at least tried to improve the team long term, Gomes for Jefry and Johnson, Bauer for Reyes, Allen and Moss (he will likely get his MLB debut next season). I mean you cannot say this group didn't do a good job of drafting and scouting (Three starting pitchers in the same draft class) plus getting three more possible starters/bullpen arms in Jefry, Allen and Moss.

Not sure what else they could have done within reason. Brantley was going to walk, Allen is washed up right now, Miller was so-so, Perez was better than Gomes (I was sad to see Gomes go to be honest, but Plawecki seems to be good with the young guys). We were never resigning Donaldson period, end of story (and in a way was a mistake to trade for him to begin with in my mind). Only thing I really wish they did was bring in a better veteran reliever to take pressure off of Hand, but otherwise they did a pretty good job overall if you look over the whole season.

Patrick Mahomes had been on a pub relations roll until he dumped his agent for the jerk one from the State Farm commercials. His family is too cool to disown like his buddy Aaron did to his.
you're in the wrong thread

It is a shame the Indians did not outbid Atlanta for Donaldson, who paid him the largest 1 year contract in MLB history

Well, that’s all she wrote. Quite the roller coaster of a season. These last five games were horrendous and will leave a bitter taste in my mouth heading into the offseason, but there are plenty of things to be encouraged about going into 2020. I enjoyed the discussions with all of you and look forward to checking in throughout the winter when the team makes some moves. One of these years, guys, we’ll end up with that elusive flag-filled trophy. In the meantime, let’s just hope that we never have to see Mike Freeman bat fifth in the Indians lineup again.
