Your 2019 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
There just wasn't a clear MVP, so they gave it to the hometown guy, which is the best move.

For me in attending the game, it made up a little bit for their choosing to have a New York Yankee throw out the first pitch at an All-Star Game hosted in Cleveland.

Still shocked Bieber got the MVP. Feels rigged. Rigged for Cleveland for once.

Chapman got 3 strikeouts as well, Gallo essentially hit the winning HR. Was the ASMVP a vote thing? Baseball fans on social media seem to be calling it a joke.
Zero chance you're giving the MVP to the wife-beater Chapman, in Progressive Field. He was booed coming out. Imagine the boos if they gave him the award.

Brantley had a case for putting the AL up. Gallo put the last run up, but going from 3-1 to 4-1 isn't exactly a big deal--it just ended up being the last run to make the difference. I have no problem with Bieber getting it. Cater to the hometown fans if it's close.

I love CC, but I'm sick of the whole "season-long farewell tour" thing already.

Striking out the side, in an all-star game. Where the game was decided by one run. Is pretty deserving for an MVP in an all-star game.

It gets boring always giving it to hitters, as if pitchers don't decide games either.

Why the fuck is it only Yankees that get the stupid ass season long tour?

I was thinking about this. And can you imagine the Yankees ever letting a Cleveland Indian throw the first pitch at an All-Star Game at Yankee Stadium?

I was at that game and stayed to the end! (Plain Dealer loge: free food and refreshments. Not leaving!)

Well from what I can tell from an update on baseball reference, Salazar, who was slated to get another rehab start, looks like he was scratched and isn't going to pitch again for another week or two. They didn't link it to anywhere, it was a morning update, but I trust their site, so it looks like Salazar is back to resting for another week or two. Hopefully the update is wrong, but its not good news. I think we were all hoping to see him come back in the second half and pitch out of the pen and help us down the stretch.

Watched the entire thing live.

In person?

I watched the whole thing without turning it off. A rarity. @CBBI

To be fair, I was drunk and having a conversation with a bartender in Big Fork, Montana and had nothing better to do at the moment. So I was in and out. But I did see the whole thing.

I wonder where Lindor's head is at in terms of his future right now. He repeatedly said, "my city" tonight, and just yesterday seemed to be pushing the FO to be buyers. I also wish I knew more about the television rights deal and its potential impact.
Everything I have heard suggests Lindor loves Cleveland and would prefer to stay... But if a big market team will give him $12-$14 million more per year over more years, then honestly, Lindor probably should leave.
